Health care worker in Dallas tests positive for Ebola after a preliminary test, hospital says in a statement.

Marriage is a learning curve. I learned quite a bit when I got home that night. My wife is at the door of that S.U.V. like J. J. Watt... nearly 100 children were absent from Armstrong Elementary School, where Mr. Jenkinss daughter is in the third grade. The typical number absent is about 12. Mr. Jenkinss wife, who volunteers at Armstrong at lunchtime, was initially told by some at the school that she should not serve food to the children.... Mr. Jenkins said. Right now, the science is very unclear to people, and Ive made a lot of people who have always supported me extremely upset in doing this, but I cant control when things like this happen. We have a job to do here in Dallas County.
What an idiot. Yeah, the job is NOT to spread the virus all over the city. And what's this about the wife being told "initially" about not serving food. Does that mean she's now serving food? My kid would be out of that school so fast.
Police and health officials in the apartment area to inform other residents of possible health risks. Apt where healthcare person lived is now being quarantined.

Another example of trying to close the barn door after the horse got out.
If she’s black or Latino this is RACIST. If white, this is just another reason why Obamacare is so necessary. /pinhead
Exactly. Our health-care system cannot function with any real ebola outbreak. How long before doctors and nurses and orderlies stop showing up for work? Will the government force them to work?
WFAA newsie says that up to 18 people at the hospital may have had direct contact with the contaminated healthcare worker.
Yeppers. The CDC proves once again how incompetent they are.
“Hopefully this was from the first visit where Ebola was not considered and no isolation techniques were used.”
Second visit and the person used the CDC advised safety gear. The CDC needs to reexamine their policies on protective gear.
Like that doctor who was admitted to Bethesda on Saturday, the day before Duncan was. Nary a peep.
So, it is about to get real. How many people will have to be quarantined from this case? How many people did she/he come into contact with?
And right after the false scare with a deputy sent into the infected guy’s family’s apartment last week.

Do, however bear in mind that said ..
top federal health official
.. is CDC's own Baghdad Bob (T. Freiden) in full CYØ mode before the breakfast dishes were cleared.
(gotta wonder if the tool sleeps with those kneepøds on ?)
Still, it could have been at the admitting desk or during the first few minutes before they understood it was probably Ebola. Another article said the worker was only wearing gloves and a face mask.
We all knew it was going to hit the fan the minute Frieden said any ol’ podunk hospital could handle Ebola.
Yes, it’s been speculated that West Africans may have a gene or have built up immunities to the virus. When it hits Americans who have never had exposure to it, it’s going to hit very, very hard.
Yes it is, hence my post. The bastards openly lie and don’t care who knows.
There are apartments around there, so yeah.
At least they’re closing the barn door unlike Louise’s apartment complex.
The answer to your question is shown below. The woman in the protective gear is/was wearing the CDC's recommendation for protective gear.
Think of the VA and its problems when you think about the CDC. Both are controlled and staffed by liberals, who really aren't that concerned with doing their job properly. They are concerned about increasing their budgets and span of control instead of good results.
Thanks to Black Agnes for posting the link to this picture last week.
And the FIRST time Frieden backs off on that, saying that the growing incidence of obola contagion "could better be contained in our new, specially-equipped Ebola Biocontainment Units [FEMA camps, supposedly already stocked with thousands of those grey biohazard coffins that I used to laugh at when seeing the photos],...
Yeah, that's when things start getting hairy.
