Penetration is the absolute red line. But overall hazing is stupid.

If your buddies want to do things to men’s butts, then get new friends.

It is a little odd how much of hazing involves the male anus.

If the thought of a behavior being revealed to your family, friends and the general public is embarrassing to you, then that’s what’s left of your conscience talking.

Now, apply that to sticking your finger into the anus of a 14 year old football player for anyone other than a medical professional with a specific reason to do so in a medical setting.

You know the answer and they did, too.

Raise ‘em to believe that Deviance isn’t Deviance and this is what you get. It’ll get worse before it ever gets better...

There were some punks at high school near me that did that kind of sick hazing. It was a baseball team ritual. They used a broomstick. The victim could have died from it. The punks were all prosecuted on felony rape charges.

Violence is a part of life, and like everything else, has appropriate applications that must be learned and practiced.

Liberals have removed appropriate violence from the curriculum and replaced it with draconian shaming and punishment.

As a result, young people do not learn appropriate violence. Instead they learn what is done to them by their teachers and parents - punishment designed literally to break someone’s spirit and force them into psychological slavery.

So that’s what they do to each other.

The only example of hazing I ever recall encountering (in college, here in Texas) was some frat-boy having to walk down the main drag, dressed in a big diaper and baby-bonnet, pushing a baby-carriage down the sidewalk in front of everyone. He was SO embarrassed. But everybody grinned, knowing exactly what was going on.

This stuff here? Perversion and faggotry. The same kind of sick garbarge the culture has been pushing. It’s been ‘normalized.’ America-2014 makes me want to vomit.

When was this ever harmless fun?

I used to think “harmless” fun was okay, then I met a coworker who took everything to extremes. He thought every trick he pulled was brilliant and fun for all concerned. I concluded he’d been badly abused, confirmed by stories he told like his dad had convinced him his dog was dead and how hard he’d cried. (My dad did the same thing as an April Fool’s joke when I was about six. I never forgave him and I never trusted him again. I cried all day and he beat me because of it so I ended up hiding from him as I couldn’t stop crying.) Consequently, I was much like my coworker until I was convinced by friends that pranks were inappropriate. Seeing the pain my coworker caused his victims convinced me that there is no such thing as appropriate jokes or hazing that rely on hurting or convincing a coworker or “friend” that something is true when it isn’t.

There must be some other bonding experience that teams can practice that doesn’t hurt anybody.

Poorly written article.

People who are trained in journalism know that you summarize what happened in the first sentence. The author doesn’t get around to saying what he characterizes as “hazing” until the 5th paragraph — after a lot of descriptive characterizing adjectives like “stomach-churning” and “nauseating.”

After that, there is plenty more editorializing and no descriptions of what actually happened.

Doing a search on this story is not revealing much in the way of details and the school officials are quoted as not being willing to discuss what happened.

Hazing in my day was never about bad beatings or significant physical harm. I think “frogging” that left a bruise was about the worst harm done. I got and gave my share of frogs. NEVER was sexual or genital behavior accepted. We’d kick the sh*t out of any homo that so much as suggested it, and we did a few times. Homos were never accepted.

I know all about being hazed, but it wasn’t sexual in nature. PAINFUL, not sexual.
