This story says that the person had contact with Duncan, AND checked yes to travel in West Africa. Someone on his flight?

Strange wording as well. Someone who "claimed" contact, as though it wasn't an already known contact. It certainly doesn't sound like one of the immediate family members.

It isn't a hoax. But we are going to see an endless parade of "patient in x hospital showing signs of Ebola", which turn out to be nothing more serious than the flu. The only thing that makes this appear more serious is the response (the press conference, the on-the-ground response, etc.). It is more likely to be the real deal, than, for example, the latest "scare" out of Westchester, NY (from a couple of hours ago).
