One of the main problems of people of a conservative bent is that they often don't want to be involved with politics and simply want to be left alone.

You might want to take some of the replies you see on this thread and reflect on them seriously from a political standpoint.

There are a lot of principled conservatives out there who have figured out that the political process is a waste of their time and energy. And they're well-prepared to deal with anyone coming to kick down their doors, too.

You might notice that Clive Bundy never called his Congressman or Senator when things got rough out there in Nevada. And I'm sure he wrote off Karl Rove and all of those Beltway @ssholes who run the Republican Party years ago.
