KANSAS CITY, Mo. - KCTV5 reports an apartment building in Kansas City, MO. is being sealed off Saturday night, and a source close to KCTV5 says it's because a person who lives there is sick with something contagious. Police at the apartment building told KCTV5 that all or part of the medical facility the person was taken to is now quarantined as well. The person was taken to Rockhill Research Hospital. No one at the hospital will confirm what the person has at this time. We'll continue to follow this developing story, and bring you updates as we get them.

Perhaps one of the many interesting and exotic diseases brought-in by our illegal alien “guests.”

Just wait until it hits one of those highrises in Manhattan or the Bronx. De facto death traps.

Not obsessed. Trying a possibility other than, oh, say, Ebola. Perhaps he is suffering from some really nasty chiggers. There, happy?

Ebola typically spreads like wildfire through densly populated areas of endemic poverty and poor sanitation. In otherwords, when ebola breaks out for real, black inner cities can kiss their collective asses goodbye.

Just wait until flu season hits to see what a nation that battens down the barricades looks like! Thank you, President Obola for your “fundamental transformation”!

another reason to not live in apartments. other people burning the place down. gunfire from drugster burnouts thugs. other folks plumbing flooding your place. living in a place that isn’t secure from landlords and the police.

I wonder if others have the same symptoms? If not, how do they know it is contagious? Strange word to use unless more than one person is sick.

Locking down both the apartment building and the hospital suggests it’s something very serious. If not ebola, then what? Tuberculosis?

Who knows. The Hospital in question is not providing much detail. We have no idea if any other people have been infected with whatever this bug is.

The fear of Ebola could have severe consequences, even if it isn't Ebola. At some point I can see some person going ballistic, literally, if he thinks he might be exposed to it, or if they are quarantined, etc. And what if it ends up that a hospital room, or area, or the entire place needs to be put on lock down for 1 day, 3 days, 21 days? "Okay - 21 days and were clear. You can open the doors again."

I would say we are about 5 quarantines short of societal break down. Or at least the beginnings of it.
