The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday confirmed the first case of Ebola has been diagnosed in the United States.
This story is developing. Please check back for further updates
An AMAZING lack of coverage by the normally shrill CNN, and the other networks.
The word has likely gone out to them to keep it quiet, so as not to start a panic.
The excrement will hit the air conditioning.
Ok. Kinda like mine was meant in an, "Oh goody. 700+ posts and no one has caught the dead corpse irony here. Do I really need a smiley face?" kind of way.
Yeah, it was a little lame. I've lost my edge. :-)
I think I asked this question in reference to the guy in the elevator with O’bozo....
The Ebola person in Dallas I could care less what his/her race is...just want him/ her to stay away from me and mine.
Selfish?
“Is it time to drink yet?”
Yup!
I’d say you were right about that!
Quarantine was once standard procedure and should be still, imho, so no not selfish.
Actually the first fifteen minutes segment of Erin what’s her name was pretty good.
The CBS News was a joke. A couple of minutes and the obligatory “have no fear” propaganda
Time for the poem
Reads more like a limerick,
This fresh strange prose
Words familiar as some predict
Ebola strikes the yellow rose.
I know it controls the airspace for 5 states and my kid was on one of the flights that was delayed for hours and he was on a flight that just flew through the airspace.
Redundancy can be good in safety systems and something seems off here. Sure, I understand the cause and effect. It happens all the time with weather or airplane issues causing delays and missed flights. This ought to be a HUGE RED FLAG that our air traffic can be so disrupted by one act.
They have banned people from the ebola countries.
Wow.
Or is this Bob Beckel’s hints of an October Surprise?
Who knows WTT anymore
Dallas is trending on twitter and people are saying they are afraid.
Me too. I’m a nurse working in a doctor’s office. I may have to quit my job and lose my income. Scared.
I think the new protocols that brought those two NC aid workers (a doctor and a social worker) back from the brink are available to new cases.
CDC just doesn’t know who the new cases are going to be in Dallas, Maryland and elsewhere. What if they all go to those micro-clinics with complaints and get sent home? After today, they likely will be quarantined.
I put the US medical system as 10X better at beating this as Africa, so the 6000K infected and 3000K dead in Africa won’t be happening here like it has there in the last 6 months.
So, I’m thinking Ebola US will burn out after 600 infected, 300 dead.
But the MenSeekingMen media will use fear in areas where they need to.
Makes sense to me but then I’m on FR!
Hope this isn’t some terrorism practice run. Get a volunteer to die for the cause, infect them with ebola, send them over to the USA and watch how things transpire.
Some experts still say it could mutate into airborne.
50 is not a high quarantine count.
It remains to be seen if anybody is in an actual quarantine - i.e., not free to move about. Based on simulations involving real judges, I seriously doubt that the society is able to enforce any restrictive public health measures, whatever the reason.
