I have often been accused by friends (black, white and all others in between) of being too logical, to the point that I am inhibited from seeing other peoples point of view ( I am not sure if that is a compliment or insult). They say that I enter into discussions with the false assumption that others are just as logical and rational as I am. I have been told this so often that I have conceded that perhaps they are telling the truth (they know me well enough to make such claims). Because I have finally accepted the charge against me, I often consult friends on matters that I find perplexing.

Black culture is the result of democrat racism. Go back 100 years and there was no separate “black culture”. Democrats created black culture as a wedge and have been hammering it in since the early 60s.
Not exactly breaking news, is it? :)
Neither. It's an excuse for their willful stupidity.
Sounds like racism to me.
Bump
Amen.
I hear about the “race riots” of the sixties, and it seems resorting to violence has been part of that culture for awhile.
I’d venture to say that, to many blacks, achievement (other than in sports or entertainment), is viewed as “actin’ white”. Many blacks seem to hold the same view of education. To me, the shameful treatment of black conservatives by other blacks is a direct result of those views.
Much truth in that article. Having seen it firsthand. It’s their culture. If anything a large percentage of the black population seem to have a self defeatist attitude. The ones who have positive mental attitudes that apply themselves seem to do very well and are successful at whatever they do. I believe their mothers and grandmothers (especially the grandmothers) have the greatest impact (especially Christian grandmothers) on who they become by painting a different picture of their future and having greater expectations, by encouraging them to engage in hobbies and activities to give them confidence and putting them in church to teach them right from wrong and understand that there is a G-d who loves them but can also punish them for bad behavior. I’ve seen several grow up in this type of environment and I’ve seen others grow up in the ghettos. Guess who turns out to be good, hardworking men who don’t blame society or whites for their failures and use them as leaning experiences to become successful, respected men in their communities who are liked by all?
So especially thank you grandmas you make a huge difference.
Exactly. Most people are going to find hard to believe what this article says to be true...I don't. I remember the aftermath of the Rodney King riots and the community promised to make more jobs available to blacks as part of the healing process. A major news network followed a young black girl as she prepared for her first day at work as a file clerk in a police station. They filmed her learning a new job and she seemed to be enjoying it. The crew went back to the station on Friday to follow up only to find out she was no longer there. She never showed up again after Tuesday. They went to her house and asked her why she quit and her answer was: "No one told me I had to work every day!" Subsequent discussion showed that she had never known someone who had a job.
Since the War on Poverty in 1968, we have thrown trillions of dollars at the problem and the GOA reported last year that poverty is worse than ever. The reason: it's the old "give-a-fish-versus-teach-to-fish" problem. Liberals give money to the poor to buy their votes rather than teaching skills that would get them a job and make them less beholding to the liberals. If you disagree, please explain free cells phones to the poor using my tax dollars.
The solution: Anyone getting any form of assistance must show up at a public building to clean toilets, sweep the streets...whatever needs to be done. Further, if you don't pay any federal, state or local income taxes, you don't get to vote federal, state or local elections. I wonder how long it would take before those people started looking for better jobs.

Sadly, it's like watching lobsters in a pot - as soon as one gets close to getting out, another one reaches up and pulls it back down to its death.
Per the Democrat Racial Division Handbook. Allowing black achievement is harmful to continuing Democrat voting by blacks. Successful blacks become concerned about tax rates, business opportunity, death taxes, business regulations, college costs and other issues normally concerning only successful whites (I.e. Republicans).
Black culture is the result of democrat racism.
...
Democrats like to keep a large pool of low information voters. And the GOPe let’s them get away with it because they like Big Government, too.
Eighteen? More like 14 to 16. The more kids, the more welfare. Breed ‘em to feed ‘em.
“Black culture” is promoted by the left as the foil to the previously predominate Western/Christian culture.
You can actually say “God” here and no one will be offended. I think. You don’t need to leave out the “o” :>}
It’s actually a religious observance to not write the Name of God.
I don’t know all the details, but I respect their observance.
