As they gather in Saudi Arabia's holy city of Mecca for the annual hajj, some pilgrims have denounced atrocities by ISIS jihadists as "a virus" threatening the world.
But many also expressed concerns about the US-led air war against them.
"Islam is innocent from actions of the Islamic State (ISIS)," Kurdish Iraqi pilgrim Alan Abdullah told AFP, describing ISIS as "a virus threatening the whole world".
ISIS has seized large parts of Iraq and Syria, declaring a Muslim "caliphate" and imposing its own harsh interpretation of Islamic law.
The jihadists have executed captured Iraqi soldiers, crucified people, forced non-Muslims to convert and beheaded Western hostages on camera.
"IS (ISIS) are carrying out terrorist acts, slaughtering people and causing trouble," said another Kurdish pilgrim, Shawkat Ahmed Qader.
" Islam is far from their acts and beliefs."

And STILL, therein lies their problem. Nothing more than a bunch of ostriches.
Until they do that, they are all complicit in the violence. But it's a violent religion with an evil core, so while they may try to talk a good game, they will never oppose the most radical factions within their midst. They recognize that the most violence factions are really the very best Muslims.
A radical mohammedan wants to cut your head off. A moderate mohammedan does not want to cut your head off; he wants the radical mohammedan to do it.
Islam must be destroyed.
The 1 billion+ peaceniks of the “religion of peace” can deal with the JV, ISIS. The winner will play the Washington Redskins at Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Dearborn-Michigan or More-Oklahoma. Advance jihadists are anticipating a great game.

Barry's way ahead of you. He's so angry at muslims that obliterate his cover of sending tens of billions of aid to muslims, that he'll do a kabuki dance of pretending to bomb muslims when they show they apparently have no nuanced sense of taqqiyah.
Muslims policing themselves always results in a more totalitarian, radical, murderous manifestation of Islam as those police simply adhere more closely to the life example of their claimed Allah's Messenger.
