Just as momentum was beginning to swing toward Democrats in retaining control of the Senate this November, the last 10 days — particularly the last weekend — served as a setback to those chances...The math does not look good for Democrats with 33 days until Election Day, as conditions look favorable for Republicans in eight seats currently held by Democrats — West Virginia (19-point average lead in polls), South Dakota (13.3), Montana (19), Louisiana (5), Iowa (2.2), Colorado (0.8), Arkansas (3.6), and Alaska (4.7).
Democrats need to prevent Republicans from winning six of these seats — or hope independent candidate Greg Orman beats out GOP incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts in Kansas and decides to caucus with Democrats. Unexpectedly, in fact, Democrats are also leading polls in North Carolina

anthony: Every weekend is a disaster for Democrats. Look at the shape this country is in. 25% of working age people 25-54 are unemployed. 1/3 of America is on Government aid. Our border is a massive hole. And the world at large has never been more dangerous ! Don’t forget the factor of the electronic voting machines. With proper programming, not only the win, but the margin of the win can be pre-ordained.

Never underestimate Republican incompetence.
First, to help motivate the Democrat base before the election to contribute lots of money and to vote early and often.
Second, to move the bar, so that any Republican wins can be reported after the election as far less than expected.
In 1994, the national lamestream media was caught unprepared for the Republican tidal wave that swept state and federal elections at every level. Remember all of the petulant "the voters are having a temper tantrum" reports?
This year, the media is already preparing their "the expected Republican wave failed to materialize" reports that they will broadcast regardless of how many races the Republicans win.
What was special about the last 10 days for Dimocraps? Nothing except the writer is just trying to help. The national party knows it is gone or Holder would be hanging on and a new Dimocrap senate would confirm his hard core left wing replacement.

Yep. What is the Republican plan... on anything. And not just platitudes about "lower taxes, &c." The Republicans are a mess. They don't even talk about repealing ObamaCare anymore; because they never cared. And, yes, I'm voting for Republicans in November (even though none of my primary hopefuls made it), but I am unhappy.

Democrats could not care less, if they are caught cheating, because the communist democraps know 99 times out of 100, there are no consequences, they win the American people lose.
Winning by deceit and theft is a badge of honor for communist democrats, and earns them a position at the higher levels of the communist democrat party.

Would rather be accused of tinfoil hattiness than be guilty of basic common sense. With access and knowledge computers can be programmed to a tee. Machines can ordered to turn every 3rd R vote to a D vote. Then that part of the program can erase itself 3 minutes after closing time. If 12 people entered a booth and half vote D and half voted R, then the machine turned 2 of the Rs to Ds, how would anyone know? More importantly, the RINOs don’t care! In 1212, not one vote in Philadelphia’s 19 precincts registered as an R. Not ONE! And the RNC couldn’t muster ONE person to come forward and say their vote wasn’t counted correctly..
It isn’t a one party system. It is a system with one party being a slave to the other.
And, yes, I’m voting for Republicans in November (even though none of my primary hopefuls made it)....

Well, that’s fine; I just hope you do not live in Kentucky or Mississippi. We can win the Senate even if McConnell and Thad Cochran lose; and I am hoping they do. THEY ARE DESPICABLE!!!
I agree with what you said. I would only add that if there isn’t a large wave, even if the Pubbies win the Senate by 6 seats,the LSM, Dims and Obummer will say that the Pubbies don’t have a mandate because there wasn’t a hugh and series wave; and, it was only a few of the red-state clingers and Bible-thumpers and the rest of the country loves Obummer and wants his agenda to move ahead. So, he and the Dims are going to continue to work for the American people and the poor undocumented children.
The best comment I saw was a joke about O’bastard seeing ghosts of past Presidents at night.
O’bastard would ask each one what he could do to most help the country.
The first two nights were Washington and Jefferson, who both offered good advice.
On the third night Lincoln’s ghost appeared and O’bastard ask the same question.

I’m afraid all of that can be overcome with the Democrat voter base if they do a couple of things.
- Promise Student Loan Forgiveness
- Promise a big Government Jobs Program to employ them
- Promise to start sending bankers to jail for the ‘08 crisis.
If the Republican wave crests at the right time and Democrats lose big in November, will they finally throw OBAMA under the bus?
