He was the only democrat I have ever liked.

Ok, he was a corrupt Democrat and a bit off the rails, but I liked the guy.
Rest in peace!

That he was a ‘Rat yet still likeable and sane probably explains his prison sentence.

(It's a shame nobama truly doesn't care about any of this. Our country, our future, he doesn't care)

I would add Zell Miller to that list. He was a dem , but a conservative one (a very rare breed indeed)
Anyone who would challenge Chris Matthews to a duel, ya got to love.

Sorry to hear this.
A colorful figure, and with moments of honesty even though a Dim.

He died in obscurity as we all eventually do.
Sad, but it’s as much a part of life as the living is.
When I look at young kids, I often reflect on what their lives might turn out like. One day they too will be tottering around ready to shove off.
When I look at older people, I try to reflect back on what they must have been like as kids. At one point they were the innocent ones, laughing, crying, playing, enjoying...
Life is grand, providing ups and downs and sometimes sideways.
Jim was a colorful character. I enjoyed his actions on a number of occasions. In a way, he will always be alive as long as someone remembers him.
If more people smile than not, that’s pretty good.
Pretty good job Jim. I’m smiling at the memory of you.

I own a John Deere 970 tractor and I love playing in the dirt. My guess is that he was doing something he loved when he passed.

If its an open casket funeral will he be dressed in a tacky polyester suit?

I liked his style. May he rest in peace.

I’m now beginning to see the child form of those no longer children.

“What about the hair?”
Died of starvation years ago.

I learned to follow James Traficanti on FR. I enjoyed his anics, his conservatism, but not his corruption. He sure gave the Dems a run for their money, and me, lots of laughs. Though obscure, there's a place in this FREEPER'S heart for his memory. May the family have loads of peace and comfort at this time.
