She has denied the affair and according to the article, she passed a polygraph.
you know what this revenge killing story that is that there was a secret purpose concealed from the public.
makes absolute sense and is in keeping with the apparently new policy of ALWAYS lying to the taxpayers.
This whole “survivalist” angle was cooked up after the fact as a cover-up for LEOs and it also has a beneficial effect of smearing average Joe Tea Party types.

And you are aware that professional liars pass polygraphs all the time and that polygraph evidence is not admissible in a court of law?
I have also heard/read that within hours of the shooting, a SWAT team busted into Eric Frien’s brothers house and took him away in cuffs. He was later released without charges. That suggests to me that LEO new early on about a possible affair.
I know that. I also know that cops will also lie and cheat to protect the reputation of their own, and therefore, the results of any polygraph adminstered by the very LEO who are investigating the shooting of one of their own is suspect IMHO.
On day one I told my best friend either cop on cop or cop banging somebody's wife. We have many police acquaintances, and see both cop-on-cop pissing contests and rampant adultery often.
We got that introduced into the American lexicon in the late 90's.
The article states that family and neighbors were all interviewed and there was no hint of an affair and both the brother and wife passed polygraphs. The only ones spreading this nasty rumor are:
1) Ambulance chaser attorney Joshua Price who has been trolling the neighborhood trying to convince people to file frivolous suits against the police to make a quick buck
and,
2) knee-jerk cop haters whho will jump on anything to smear police to try to make them look bad

Then why arrest the innocent husband and haul him away in cuffs immediately? The denials are worth zero, zilch, nada.
And the sluts are blameless and pure.

I grew up in Oregon and imbibed a loathing of Packwood with my mother’s milk, and am afraid that any reference to him immediately focuses my mind on something other than the topic on hand. He was the impetus for me leaving the GOP the first time.

With all the new powers and lavish funding and whiz-bang nimitz gear, I think cops are forgetting all of this and I think there is a massive amount of excuse making and ignoring problem

So now Alex Douglass and family are having to deal with him being gut-shot and probably disabled for life and going through a horrific experience, surgeries and recovery process... AND now having to endure a vicious rumor of him having an affair even though there isn’t a drop of evidence.
Spreading that rumor and treating it as fact is nasty and irresponsible.

Actually I think the attorney has a good point. There is no constitutional justification for the lockdown any more than there was one in Boston. Some civil disobedience and lawsuits are clearly called for.
Adults have the right to assume that kind of risk and the police do not have the authority to stop us.
There is no “lockdown”. People are out walking their dogs, taking care of yards, going to work, etc... no businesses were closed, and schools only closed if the school officials decided to do so. The only thing the police have closed temporarily off and on are certain roads going to the search areas. Even then, the roads are only closed for short periods of time and the police provide escorts if residents have an emergency at home or need to get meds, etc. The “shelter in place” is a safety advisory and not any type of legal order.
What “lockdown”???
There are multiple media reports from different outlets that disagree with you. People were prevented from returning to their homes.
While that may be tolerable in the middle of a shooting event, it is not days later.
