With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Or not vote at all?
The reasons why some conservatives are on the fence or planning not to vote are well known. (And Democrats are loving every minute of it!)
I share these frustrations.

Please...
I will never vote again for anything but local...Washington is a mess on both sides of the Aisle and quite frankly my vote or no vote will never change it.
However...I have seen lack of participation change many a thing.
Hey GOPe!
Earn my vote, this “you have to vote for us! We are slightly better than the democrats!” crap won’t fly here.
Like it or not, it is coming.
I agree. There is a huge group of either trolls pushing conservatives to hate their own party, or a bunch of whining, hating, complainers, who are sabotaging the election by promoting not voting for Republicans....this is treason by our own conservatives not understanding the consequences of their actions.
The Bible says that Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years and did not enter the promised land because of their murmering and complaining. I see that on FR. No election will be perfect, no candidate will be perfect, but like the ‘pied piper’ deception this group will fall off the cliff with their blinders on.
Never has there been a more portentious election in the history of this Republic....because of the marxist radical now at the helm.
Judges are in for life.

Both major parties keep raising the debt ceiling in Congress and are driving this country over the fiscal cliff, that’s for sure.
Ronald Reagan asked his supporters in 1976 to hang in there and I did voting for Republican presidential candidates all the way up to Romney in 2012, but no more.
Just yesterday I got a call from a (democrat) group calling themselves “Independent Conservatives” encouraging me to sit this election out because the republicans are no different than democrats. The guy sat there and lied to me claiming that my congressman had sponsored a bill to cut off free phones for veterans.
I checked, my congressman sponsored a bill back in 2011 that would cut off money for free phones for people on welfare but included exceptions for homeless or destitute veterans and people with severe chronic illnesses.
The GOP’s repeatedly voted to fund Obamacare, nobody made a peep as gun-grabbing Bloomberg flooded Cochran’s campaign coffers with cash and quite a few have issued calls for “raising revenue” over the past few years. And gas taxes.
The bigger problem relates to the travesty unfolded late in 2013 when Ted Cruz made his heroic stand against ObamaCare with his infamous Senate filibuster. Some of his harshest critics were OTHER REPUBLICANS. What the hell is the point of sending Republicans to Washington if they aren't even on the same page on such a high-profile issue like that?
Here we go again. The same crap/drivel comes out before every election.
The simple fact is that there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the Rats and the GOP. If you don’t know that by now, you are brain dead. If you continue to espouse the crap in this thread, you are either on the payroll of the GOPe or the organizations who own both parties.
I was tempted to rail against ‘Chief Sitting-Bull Voters’ myself. So very wise they think. We get these wisenheimers every election.
And now they can help the Rats ram through the amnesty-for-votes deal, in which case ‘Checkmate’. No need for conservatives to vote after that.
What a time to be so very ‘wise’.
The people in Canada has a “Conservative” Prime Minister drop a sales tax on them in the 1980’s.
Then they formed a Reform Party splitting the vote, destroying the old Progressive Conservative Party and allowing the Liberals to rule Canada for more than a decade.
Guess what, Canada survived and today the Prime Minister is Stephen Harper of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Back in ‘98 Savage and Boortz both said they were glad that Obama was elected, that it would teach us all a lesson. How’s that working out?
Howdy is running this time, but chances are excellent we'll never see nor hear from him again.
The RINO needs to be horsewhipped and THAT'S what conservatives don't have the balls for.
They REALLY believe we can talk a man into conviction whereas the democrats know talk is a tactic used to stall for time while machinery continues to grind down their opposition and install their embeds.
It's all a macabre movie against personal liberty and freedom
They didnt vote me too on Obamacare did they?
They didn’t have to, the rats had enough votes with out them..
Who had the chance to keep it bottled up in committee and decided to vote it out of the committee??
A Rino/GOPe senator..
The GOPe is much to blame for it as well.
And your right they are not Reid. he has convictions, a spine and will do what it takes to advance his agenda..
The GOPe has none of that. Minority Leader Reid will still run the senate.
Er, I mean’t back in 08, not 98.
I’m living in Obama’s 57th State this morning.
The author also misses another big point. A lot of these Republicans in the Senate who vote with the Republicans most of the time are opportunistic jackasses who try to have it both ways. There are plenty of cases where Republicans will cast a cloture vote to let a bill onto the Senate floor where it will be passed under the Democratic majority, but then vote against it on the Senate floor knowing full well that their “opposition” at that stage of the process is both useless and pointless.
Just two political machines that only care about power and smear anyone that gets in the way with the Republicans portraying the Democrats as Che or Fidel and the Tea Party as Bull Connor or the KKK.
All that smear is over the top BS designed to suck people into voting for the GOPe.
THE OLD MITCH MCCONNELL DEBT CEILING TRICK....
Vote for cloture to move the bill forward, then vote against the bill on final passage to fool people back home.
