Barack Obama’s approval rating slid into dangerous territory this week, with the latest Reuters-Ipsos poll showing just 35 percent of Americans approve of the president’s job performance even as he leads the nation into a war against Islamic fundamentalism in the Middle East.
Fifty-eight percent of Americans expressed disapproval of the White House’s current occupant — 37 percent of them “strongly.” Just 17 percent strongly approved of Obama’s current performance. The poll is based on a five-day rolling average.
The White House has struggled under a series of escalating foreign-policy crises, at times appearing to flail for a response to Islamic State brutality and the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. The poll likely does not reflect reaction to the administration’s broad air attack on Islamic State targets in Syria, conducted Monday night and slated to continue for the foreseeable future.
After all, GWHB got a “Profile in Courage” award precisely FOR LYING. (”No new taxes.”)
Several years ago, Colmes was on someone else’s radio show, discussing his engagement (to Monica Crowley’s sister). A caller called in and offered his congratulations, and then said, “Alan, I just wanted to ask, Is she a sighted woman?”
And this news matters why? Obama doesn’t care how he’s doing in the polls...why should he? He’s getting everything he wants and more.

Obama’s problem now is going to be his base. They aren’t happy about the back to Iraq strategy.

I just found out that native tortoises are the frequent victims of bombings.
Part of me is annoyed that the pet stores ‘kidnap’ them from that area for resale, here and the other part is glad that my little Olive is safe from ever being harmed by wars.
Plus, Dubya never got down to 35.
There is strong suspicians that someone who knew what the bombing targets were, called ISIS ahead of time.
I saw a Gallup poll not long ago that showed President Bush now has a 49% approval rating. Funny how things work out.
I thought Obama couldn’t get any lower but he will. The only thing he had left was the far left and starting another war should peel off some of those.
He’s going to drag his party down with him in November. Too bad he’s taking the country down too. I wonder how long it will take to rebuild.
