merican airstrikes against ISIS targets are under way in Syria, according to a Pentagon official.
"I can confirm that U.S. military and partner nation forces are undertaking military action against ISIL [ISIS] terrorists in Syria using a mix of fighter, bomber and Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles," Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said.
"Given that these operations are ongoing, we are not in a position to provide additional details at this time. The decision to conduct theses strikes was made earlier today by the U.S. Central Command commander under authorization granted him by the commander in chief. We will provide more details later as operationally appropriate."

The media plays a propaganda angle for everything, and most of their angles are rarely beneficial for average Americans. It’s all a scheme to get the sheep to buy into another war that has nothing to do with the USA. Americans will discover that their hopes and plans for an eventual retirement will end up as rotting wasted expenditures on the pathetic wasteland of the Middle East.

The United States and partner nations launched airstrikes in Syria against ISIS targets, the Pentagon said. The U.S. military plans to strike up to 20 targets in and around Raqqa, Syria — logistics, fuel and weapons depots; training sites; troop encampments; command and control sites; and headquarters for the Sunni fighters. The bombing began at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET Monday, a senior U.S. defense official told NBC News.
The U.S. military will deploy manned and unmanned air assets, including F-22s, B-1 bombers, F-16s, F-15s and F/A-18s. The aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush is at the ready in the Persian Gulf, and the USS Arleigh Burke, a guided missile destroyer that fires Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs), is in the Red Sea.
Just caught a bit of chatter on CNN. One consultant said this was the greatest coalition [of all time], since they got some Arab country(ies) involved in it.

Define US interest? I bet Syrian military is primarily targeted so the ISIS would have an upper hand. It worked in Libya and look how wonderful it is these days.

I’ve heard it said by Glenn Beck that Obama is dragging us into Syria’s war taking out Assad with IS as an excuse.....we shall see how this plays out....
I think they will, as we are helping Russia’s ally, Assad.
Entering sovereign airspace of another nation without permission from that nation and w/o a formal declaration of war.

Could another country build a case that the multiple deaths along the Messy-can border violate human rights of the poor migrants therefore China or Russia reserves the right to take out military/enforcement assets in an effort to clear their path? Just layin it out there.
