Entering sovereign airspace of another nation without permission from that nation and w/o a formal declaration of war.
Not that I'm against kickin the crap outta the muzzies, but I feel this sets a very dangerous precedence. If I had my rathers, let’em keep fightin one another. Less of’em in the world.
Just a thought?
Could another country build a case that the multiple deaths along the Messy-can border violate human rights of the poor migrants therefore China or Russia reserves the right to take out military/enforcement assets in an effort to clear their path? Just layin it out there.
Sounds outlandish but hey, we live in a crazy crazy world these dayz.
Au contraire.
We are engaged with ISIS on behalf of and at the invitation of Iraq.
As such, we are able to strike ISIS in Syria as justified by the concept of "hot pursuit". Similarly, we were acting within our rights to pursue the Viet Cong into Cambodia and Laos during the Viet Nam war.
Which is to say there is nothing questionable under international law here.
I thought about that as well. Suppose a Mexican cartel captured a Russian tourist or diplomat, and beheaded him. Does that give Russia the right to hit targets in Mexico, and perhaps in the US if any cartel members fled here?
