No link now, they are just announcing it now.
Wonder if the 49 turkey received was an exchange for the 1,000?
Khorasan is the old Arabic name for the Afghanistan/Pakistan area. I wonder if they are from there, or as you mention, represent a link back to HQ in the Khorasan.
I saw another report that they were selecting Westerners from among those who came to support ISIS, and were screening/preparing them for attacks in the West. I would assume that al Queada HQ would need to have some folks in Syria for just that kind of function.
They will have moved elsewhere because they will have been tipped off by the CAIR elements within the state department.””
Precisely, the moles in our executive branch don’t even hide underground. Make no mistake, our national secrets and security are for sale by BO and his gang of criminals.
Am not paying attention to that aspect of Turkey...
Turkey’s got some big issues right now if they think they can play the game they’re playing regarding Syria....
They really need to boot them out of Nato...whatever made them think Turkey would be an ally defies understanding.
Turkey was in NATO because they were on the front line against the Soviet Union, with a huge military, historical conflict with Russia, anti-communist and could bottle up the Soviet Navies only warm water ports in the Black Sea.
The world has changed a lot since those days, when Islamism was not much of an issue at all.
that looks like middle class housing in Cairo
or an upper class neighborhood in Somalia
Parked at an airport where the ISIS wives and kids all flew to Switzerland?
Haven’t had time to check all the names yet but it seems that only one of the missile cruisers firing was from the Bush group ( Phillipine Sea). The other cruiser shooting had to be from the Vinson group. My last check on the Vinson had it moving into 5th fleet area but sometimes the doggone US Navy forgets to update my shop wall map. Slackers.
Sorry I had stepped away from Fr and missed your posts til now....
I certainly have no insight where they have their families...I suspect, given we saw so many Syrians at the borders this week, they likely got their families out of there. Most knew this was coming..just not when with any certainty.
thank you Beau...
I knew there was a reason they had allowed Turkey in Nato...and that Turkey had been trying to do so for some time...but I lost interest in it entirely.
Interesting I was listening to an Arab fellow speaking on a news sight, who was fully frustrated with all happening over the years there. He blames the British....
...said if it weren’t for the British finding oil, where muslims had been taking craps for centuries, this would have never come about as is today!

Vinson is still in WesPAc.
U.S. military officials with CENTCOM said early Tuesday that it had launched a combined 47 missiles from two warships, the USS Philippine Sea, a guided missile cruiser, and the USS Arleigh Burke, a destroyer. The first ship was in the Persian Gulf; the second in the Red Sea. The Philippine Sea is part of the USS George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group, which includes an aircraft carrier by the same that the U.S. military has been using for weeks to launch airstrikes in Iraq.
Looks like an elite squad of fudgepackers to me.
