IS has used chlorine gas against Iraqi soldiers

Iraqi Member of Parliament Ali al-Bredi has claimed that Islamic State (IS) militants are using Chlorine gas against Iraqi soldiers in Fallujah.
In a press conference on Monday, al-Bredi revealed that IS have killed 300 Iraqi soldiers with chlorine gas.
He said that the militants deployed the gas in the Siqiliya area located of northern Fallujah, a city in Anbar province, about 70 km from the capital of Iraq, Baghdad.
Responsibility for this lies with Iraqi PM Haidar Abadi and the commander of the forces in Anbar as they failed to rescue the soldiers, said al-Bredi.
Expanding on the circumstances surrounding the attack, al-Bredi said, After the insurgents surrounded the Iraqi soldiers, they used chlorine gas to suffocate them before detonating a car bomb, resulting in the death of 300 out of 400 soldiers.
Al-Bredi also said that before the crime was committed, the soldiers asked for an urgent rescue mission, but were ignored.
Furthermore, on Sunday, US Secretary of State John Kerry also reiterated US concern over the use of chlorine gas against civilians in Syria and warned President Bashar al-Assads regime that it would be held to account.
I think Chlorine gas was one of the first used during World War 1? I may be mistaken but it is nasty stuff.
They used it in Syria too. Assad didn’t do the gassing. The rebels did it to draw us into the war.
According to AHC (formerly military channel) it was
I can not agree more!!!!
I would wait for a less biased source to confirm these deaths. There should re radio communications which US intell people have monitored. Also, should be some survivors with blisters, lung damage, etc. who could provide details.
Why the Iraqi Air Force won’t provide air support is a question that needed to be answered, if this story is true.
It would seem that the ISIS forces were concentrated enough for a series of air strikes that would have punched holes in their lines/positions.
Also, why didn’t US planes give them support? Something doesn’t ring true, so far.
I was in favor of napalming Fallujah the first time we went in. Apparently the Iraqeez are not willing to fight as hard now as they were when we were just trying to round up Saddam. Now I guess we can do some good by just letting them kill each other. Then when somebody wins and they clusterflock-up we can finish them off in a bunch? They surely weren’t asking for us to help them were they?
Without looking in my Junior Chemistry Set book I’m gonna guess that if the goat humpers spread enough chlorine around they can kill off the Ebolas. As a side benefit they can kill off any sand rats that might be packing viruses also. And they can have the whole Fertile Crescent smelling bright and fresh, like a steamy swimming pool. Then maybe we could suggest the same treatment for Liberia, Nigeria, and any place else full of runny nosed scum bags.
Absolute psychopaths.
+++++
And they are spurred on and encouraged that they, whether it’s true or not, have a friend in the White House.
They use gas—we should use Gas on them. Send them Sarin, or Nerve Gas—Maybe some Ebola? Maybe some Radiation bombs? They do not fight fair so we should be able to unleash the horrors of modern war upon them.
That would hurt their feelings.
Yep, I am acquainted with the on site generators you described and they are a viable option for smaller scale systems. At a point though, the on site generation becomes prohibitively expensive though so ton chlorine cylinders will remain common for larger systems.
I don't think there's any doubt. Assad had nothing to gain from it. Remember the US argument was that the radicals weren't knowledgable enough to be able to pull off a chemical attack? ISIS certainly dispelled that lie.
The only question is did the US learn that it was the rebels who used chemical weapons in Syria, but hold back that information so they had an excuse to continue to oppose Assad?
It also makes one wonder about who the snipers were in Kiev. Just how much mischief has US foreign policy been up to?
I like to put it this way:
Jesus Christ sent his disciples to the people with no armor, no sword and no purse. Mohammed sent his disciples to the people with full armor and a sword to take the purse.
yep!
Kerry was only concerned becuz we all know chlorine gas causes climate change.
Is this from the stash left over from Saddam, or the stash we were giving the Libyan’s in Benghazi?
Wait this can’t be true, the left has been telling us for years and years that Bush was a liar and that there were no WMD’s..can’t be, media doesn’t lie, do they/sarc
I think the Ruskies aided Saddam in moving his WMD to Syria.
Indeed. Thanks for the ping!
