The United Nations, eager to grab money and power as the global regulator (and taxer) of carbon emissions, is sponsoring a “climate summit” on September 21 in hopes of capturing the attention of heads of state coming to New York for the UN General Assembly. Unfortunately for the scare-mongers, President Barack Obama will be fairly lonely when it comes to heads of state of world powers.

I’m waiting for the “pivot” to the next “crisis”
that requires us to pay more taxes and reduce our standard of living.
Probably the best news for the planet since the end of World War II.
Why is climate change such a crisis? It happens four times a year: it’s called “seasons” by most people with 1/3 of a brain.
The forecast is for the Autumnal equinox to occur very soon. I’m thinkin’ it’s on the schedule for next Tuesday. Good news, it’ll be spring time in Antarctica and the melt should begin.
What doesn’t?
The problem with the Global Cooling and Global Warming scams is that eventually even the most low information rubes had to realize that all of the predictions ever made were wrong.
The world is getting colder. In 20 years we are going to have another ice age. Only it didn't.
The world is getting warmer. In 20 years the polar ice caps will melt and the seas will rise. Only it didn't.
That is why Global Climate Change™ is so much better. Global Climate Change™ is the scam that can never be proven wrong.
Is it warmer than usual today? It is caused by Global Climate Change.™
Is it colder than usual today? It is caused by Global Climate Change.™
Is it wetter than usual today? It is caused by Global Climate Change.™
Is it dryer than usual today? It is caused by Global Climate Change.™
Is it windier, less windy, cloudier, less cloudy? It doesn't matter! There will always be weather. Now, whenever there is bad weather, no matter what the weather happens to be, it is caused by Global Climate Change.™
It is all Bush's fault. Bush and those damned SUVs. Womyn and minorities will be hardest hit.
The only solution is more taxes and government regulation.
The thing that gets me about global warming is that climate has changed many times in earth’s history. And we don’t fully understand the natural cycles involved.
There have been numerous ice ages in earth’s history. During the last ice age, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice. All that ice didn’t melt because Cro Magnon man had coal fired power plants. We don’t know why ice ages have come and gone.
Yet we want to fundamentally change society and the economy because man allegedly contributes to global warming. Go figure.
I’m still laughing at a 40-something year old article from Newsweek, where the climate Nazis wanted to dump soot on the polar ice caps to warm them and make them melt, thus averting an Ice age.
The whole thing is nothing more than a money scam....
If Obama and the UN are in attendance, it’s already an embarrassment.
This reminds me of the aftermath of the Salem Witch trials when the “affected” girls went into a town and when several local women passed them they went into their “possessed” routine of howling and falling down.
They realized no one was paying attention to them so they got up and went on their way. The witch scare had run it’s course, now the glo-bull warming scare has run it’s course.
Being the only ones in attendance won’t stop them from fully endorsing a radical chance that will have long term ramifications on our country.

Let’s hope that it ends up being just Ban and Bobo (and maybe that little pri*k from Mexico)! Then maybe Bobo can take Ban golfing and the climate will survive another day.

Notice how the environmental whackos on the left rarely talk about real water and air pollution anymore and instead focus entirely on CO2?
The leftists have always called for more socialist/marxist government control as the cure for pollution. Pollution, don't you see, is caused by capitalism.
Then the iron curtain fell and it became irrefutable that the worst polluters in the history of the world were the former communist countries, most of which had become large toxic waste dumps. People generally don't pollute property that they own. People have no such restraint about polluting property that belongs to someone else. Pollution, the world could see, is caused by socialism.
So now the entire focus is CO2, because the United States, having the world's largest economy, naturally produces the most CO2 per capita. Never mind that CO2 is a trace gas that is necessary for the survival of life on Earth.
