This is nothing new. I don’t know when declaring race on the form started, but it has been there for years. I think it started before 2008, but I could be wrong

If you're correct and it was 2008 or earlier, then the entire premise of the article -- that Obama's administration did it -- is totally false.

I don’t see what the problem is. Today I am Latino, tomorrow I might be Pacific Islander, or maybe an indigenous person. And you are a bigot if you question me. If a dude can claim to be a chick, and everyone has to recognize him as such, why should my geneology define who i am?
