FINALLY! The LA Unified School District has a way to protect itself from those constantly rioting and looting Tea Partiers! We’ve all heard about their speaking of a Constitution and having a bunch of freedoms guaranteed to them - it’s just crazy talk! I heard that after they have a public rally, they usually clean up after themselves - totally disrespecting the Public Sanitation Workers Union!! And they also (gasp) believe we pay too much in taxes, what would Commrade Obama say about that?!

The sole reason for the police to have an armored vehicle is so that they will have a safe place to hide.

I’m guessing these are the old 230 “grenade launchers” that have been replaced by the 320’s. Can they fire grenades? Sure. But they can also be used for tear gas and such. Which is what I assume any school would use them for. Grenade launchers just sound so much more violent and that’s good for the press.

I guess the LA Unified School District must have some very dangerous and violent students to require an ex-military APC! Granted, the grenade launchers shoot smoke or tear gas grenades, but why does it need machine guns? The students had better stock up on Molotov cocktails in self defense. I wonder what the LAUSD rules of engagement are for massacring the student bodies?

Los Angeles Unified School District police officials are considering whether they need the armored vehicle and grenade launchers they received from the U.S. military.

Los Angeles taxpayers should ask what else they are wasting taxpayer's money on. Not that they will, but they should.

So the LA Public school police want to blow up their own children. I can’t really imagine such a situation where the police would ever be able to justifiably uses a grenade launcher in an American Public school.

That is unless the people of LA have decided they want to be able to blow up their own kids, along with any malcontent that may have taken them hostage.

No there are some things you have to do the hard way, no matter the personal risk. They need to give the launchers and the vehicles to the California National Guard.

Well, this is a strange turn of events.
