But now, O Lord,
Thou art our Father;
We are the clay,
and Thou our Potter;
and we all are
the work of Thy hand.
Isaiah 64:8

Holy Father,
We love You, Lord, and we need You every hour. How amazing it is to know that You bow down Your ear unto us as soon as we speak to You. Love so amazing, so divine. How can it be that You would care for us, Precious Lord? Yet, we know that You are our Maker. We are the clay, and You are our Potter. We are all the work of Your Hand. Blessed is Your Holy and Righteous Name. Blessed are the Hands that formed us. Blessed is the life You have breathed into us, Gracious Lord. May the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, be honored and glorified both now and forever.
Father, our nations woes continue and are beyond the point where they are fixable by human standards. Yet our nation was founded on Your truths, Lord, and in this nation, we trust that You are able to find righteous people sufficient in numbers so that our country may be saved. Grant us Your wisdom to do what is right, to help wrong attitudes to change, and to eliminate policies that keep people in bondage. You are able to guide us back to our roots, Lord, and to place us on the path to righteousness once again.
Grant special blessings to our brave military men and women as they spend time away from their families. Cover each one with Your feathers and may they trust in the safety of Your wings. Reward their service to their fellow man and their country, Father, and may our military produce godly leaders. We pray also for the Israeli servicemen and women, that they too may be blessed with Your faithful provision and protected by Your Mighty Hand. May all Israel be blessed beyond measure.
Truly the battle rages, Father, and we sense that the end times are upon us. Help us to share the good news and the love of God each and every day so that none may perish. So many fields are ready for harvest. Let us be willing to labor and participate in the gathering in of souls for Your Kingdom. All for Your Glory, Lord. All for Your Glory. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Gentle Jesus
Sept 14, 2014
Read: Matthew 18:1-10
Charles Wesley (17071788) was a Methodist evangelist who wrote more than 9,000 hymns and sacred poems. Some, like O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing, are great, soaring hymns of praise. But his poem Gentle Jesus, Meek and Mild, first published in 1742, is a childs quiet prayer that captures the essence of how all of us should seek the Lord in sincere, simple faith.
Loving Jesus, gentle Lamb,
In Thy gracious hands I am;
Make me, Savior, what Thou art,
Live Thyself within my heart.
When some followers of Jesus were jockeying for position in His kingdom, the Lord called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:2-3).
Not many children seek position or power. Instead, they want acceptance and security. They cling to the adults who love and care for them. Jesus never turned children away.
The last stanza of Wesleys poem shows a childlike desire to be just like Jesus: I shall then show forth Thy praise / Serve Thee all my happy days; / Then the world shall always see / Christ, the holy Child, in me.
Father, give me the faith of a little child. I want
to know Your love and care, and to rest in Your
embrace. Grant my desire to be like You in all
my ways that I might live for Your honor.
Faith shines brightest in a childlike heart.
Jesus warning in Matthew 18:6 would have been received with the weight it deserved. The ancient Hebrews viewed the sea as a place of danger and chaos. As a result, there were few things more feared than death by drowning, the picture Jesus painted here.

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength
They will soar on wings like eagles.. Isaiah 40:31
Almighty and Eternal God, Protect our military as they discharge
their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep
them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home safely to the
people who love them and to the gratitude of the American people.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen Faith...one of most endearing articles I read today was that of our American Military traveling to Israel to give blood. OH LORD, The life is in the BLOOD and we are YOURS for YOU HAVE SHED YOURS, COVERED US with IT, and In the HOLY SPIRIT LIVE in us and through us. HOW PRECIOUS IS THY BLOOD, and to think, that we, YOUR CHILDREN, can share in giving blood to eachother for preservation of life. OH LORD, we thank YOU for our Military, we pray for the Blood Covering Salvation to be upon THY People Israel. We thank YOU for saving Jew and Gentile alike. We are YOURS and we Love YOU. Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
