Well, I appreciate the attempt to explain it. I do agree with your comments about the players in these groups. It’s just that you and I recognize these people for exactly who they are, and our leaders act as if they don’t have a clue.
It would be impossible for them not to know this, so what is really going on?
We’re arming al Qaeda. I’m not sold on the idea that al Qaeda is an enemy of ISIS either.
Al Qaeda was beheading our people too. Where’s the differentiation between them? Al Qaeda would go into Iraq and kill people in mass too.
Think of it like this. The word Liberal became so negative the Democrats ran from it. Now they want to be called Progressives, and the idiots our Republican leaders are, they play along. We should have continued to reference “Liberals” until hell froze over.
Well that’s just what the terrorists are doing. The Muslim Brotherhood pops up, because they want people to sucker for the idea it’s a new moderate group.
Then ISIS pops up, because they want the Islamic world to fall in line behind a new entity.
In certain ways, this models the Democrats action in nominating no-name governors for the Presidency.
The Democrats could pass them off as anything they wanted, and the general populace wouldn’t find out until after these idiots were elected. It worked swell with Carter and Clinton. It actually worked really well with Obama too.
That’s what ISIS was formed to do. It’s the same old players. It’s just a new fashionable name.
There is a marauder populace in the Middle-East. They don’t hold down normal jobs. They drift around to the latest hot-spot, and join in with terrorist activity.
Are our leaders really so stupid that they don’t realize an al Qaeda member today will be a Muslim Brotherhood member tomorrow, and an ISIS member two weeks after that?
This is all one big shell game, and our leaders are dumb enough to play.
John McCain waltzes in and say, “The good group is under that one.”
No Senator, the good group isn’t under any of them.
Duh!
So now, with a truce going on, new recruits to ISIS can sign up with Obama's Friendly Revolutionaries. They can get trained, paid, and given weapons. Then, when they're battle-ready, they can join ISIS. Mygosh isn't it time for the DC crowd that is only into itself and its power to finally DO SOMETHING?
Are Lebanon, Jordan and Israel still thinking getting rid of Assad is a good idea?
Didn’t you read that all the various rebel groups have signed a non-aggression pact against each other, including Obama’s so-called, vetted moderate rebels?
Obama knew that he was providing arms to Al Qaeda related militias in Libya, also. The militia that attacked the consulate in Benghazi was Al Qaeda linked and used the Saudi arms, provided by the US to do it.
The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization. Andrew McCarthy had an excellent article on National Review last week that explained the whole history of the US involvement in the Middle East conflicts. The unrest in the Middle East has been exacerbated by US meddling. Obama is not working for peace in the Middle East, he working for revolution.
I read it. I laughed while I read it.
If you’ve got the same players fighting for both groups, why would you continue to fight? Even the media was bright enough to pick up on the fact al Qaeda members were joining the ISIS effort.
On certain days, I’ll bet it goes the other way around too. It just depends on who needs the bodies on any give day.
Are our leaders so stupid that they don’t realize that al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, al Fatah, Hamas, and Hezbollah have interchangeable parts?
They get their arms and financial support from the same groups. The E.U. blunders in, and if that wasn’t bad enough, so do we.
What a freak show globally, and we’re playing along thanks to John McCain.
See why 2010 was so important regarding McCain. Imagine him not there to lead out in Libya and Syria. Imagine those two efforts not gaining traction without our support. Would that have been better?
Of course it would.
Like I said, Obama’s goal in the Middle East is not to end the fighting but to aid it. Obama thinks that the establishment of an Islamic caliphate is the only real solution for peace in the Middle East. That is what he means by long term solutions. Obama thinks that a caliphate can link Sunnis and Shiites and that would end the fighting and at the same time get rid of the various kingdoms, sheikdoms or whatever, in the Middle East.
To get there, Obama knows, that Israel must be eliminated because it separates Northern Africa from the Middle East.
What do you think Benghazi was? Nothing more than a weapons exchange that went bad.
Pray America wakes up
Eva, while I think you’re focusing on the right dynamics with regard to Obama’s goals, I would like to tweak your conclusions a bit.
IMO his goal is to eliminate the United States from influencing world affairs. I am not convinced he prefers an Islamic Caliphate to achieve this. I think he’s more focused on simply destroying us economically and thus militarily. In as much as China and Russia figure in this effort as well, I’m not convinced he prefers unity of these groups. He may favor some form of coordination.
Ultimately I do think he wants Islam to heavily influence world affairs. I do think he’s enough of a realist to accept the Islamic sects won’t unify. They don’t need to for his goals to be met, the U. S. To be neutered.
Israel doesn’t really separate Africa from the Middle East. Arab and Islamic nations surround it for hundreds of miles in all directions..., well except on the West of course.
Eva, I was wrong abut Israel being the separator you attributed it too be. I had thought there was some land to it’s South, but that’s not true. Sorry about that.
