The lurid, stereotypical tale of Sarah Palin and her family entering into an alcohol-fueled melee at a snowmobile party is starting to pick up in the mainstream media, with Good Morning America devoting an entire segment to the story this morning. In doing so, they talked to Eric Thompson, an eyewitness who attended the party at the invitation of his boss.
But Thompson, who also gave his account to Alaskan political blogger Amanda Coyne, was fired today for talking to the media.

“Now we get somewhere. If you are cool with letting someone my age hit on your teenage kid without decking the perv, that speaks volumes about you. So yea. We have two VERY different outlooks on things.”
Right law & order is only when it works in my favor or when I agree with it.
But if I don’t agree with it then I’ll act however I want to and I should get a pass because my moral sensibilities were offended and I was really angry.
With a double standard like this it’s no wonder we’re losing.
You misunderstood my comment. Maybe purposely.
America “ripped their shirt off and began throwing punches which were called WWII when their Christian family (the country) was attacked”.
Much like the Palins.
Same motivating events, same responses, different scale.
Was that unChristian of America?
Not in person. But I have seen video of it in the past.
I think you are exactly correct and would only add these “alleged” republicans are only republicans because they have grown real good at masking their deep seated liberalism.
As “liberals” they instinctively hate Palin for her extreme good looks, her stand on abortion, her positions on homosexuality, her success at maintaining an intact family and being married to an Alpha Male as opposed to a “girly man”.
That a Palin Presidency would re float all boats, conservative and liberal, and put this country back on the road to greatness, simply does not matter to them.
I didn’t misunderstand your comment at all. I don’t deliberately misunderstand things to make an unfair point...I’m not disingenuous like that.
America was attacked and their Pacific fleet destroyed, that provoked a proper response...violence.
A rude comment was made regarding a Palin daughter, and that provoked (apparently) violence, or at least the threat of violence, which was (in my opinion) undignified and un Christian.
One event was a series of battleships being destroyed and thousands of men killed, the other, some rude words.
Do you see the difference between rude words and destruction of the Pacific Fleet?

I agree, it’s disgusting to make salacious comments towards a woman, but I don’t think tearing off one’s shirt and punching (or threatening to punch) someone for that is a proper, dignified or Christian response.

“Snowmobile party? Wasilla, AK has been averaging 68 degree highs for the past week with low temperatures in the upper 40s - at their coldest.
This is a BS story. “
It wasn’t a snowmobile party. It was a party to honor the champions of the Iron Dog snowmobile race. Pays to read the article.
I spent years in Alaska, working for the Forest Service at the Kenai Lake Work Center, and I never got drunk, nor went to parties where people got drunk.
I’m a Christian, though, and was never drawn to that...
I do understand people do that. At the KLWC we used to have to drive into Seward every morning on the way to spike camp to pick up workers who were still drinking in the bars, I totally understand that stuff.
I just think Christian families should raise their kids to a higher standard,.

A middle aged man (if reports are true - which is in great doubt) making such comments about a young girl is more than disgusting, and well deserving of getting a few teeth loosened by her brother (or sister) or father. Shirt on, shirt off is of no consequence.
My only complaint here is if he only made noise and didn’t actually clock the guy.
"I just think Christian families should raise their kids to a higher standard
So what does that tell you? ;-)
I'd give just about anything if I could go and live back there again...my wife has other ideas..;-)
In this case it paid not to read it because you explained it to me and now I have 30-60 seconds of my life to do something more worthwhile.
I miss Moose Pass and the Kenai SOOOO much!
Just as I miss North Idaho and Montana (I also worked for the NPS at Yellowstone) but there’s no way on God’s green Earth that my girlfriend would ever live in a northern clime again, she was born and raised in B’klyn and never wants to have to shovel snow again.
I, on the other hand, loved the winters...watching the Northern Lights or ice skating across Lake Cd’A half a mile from the shore, hoping I didn’t run into the mail boat’s channel through the ice!
Everyone should spend a few years in Alaska, it’s truly America’s greatest state!
See ya’,

I know...I will never understand Christians who have sex with people they’re not married to, or who get drunk and fight, or have children out of wedlock, it is so bizarre to me.
If you’re a Christian you’re supposed to be following a higher set of values...I just don’t get it.

The Palin Family's Side of the Anchorage Brawl Story
Looks like Track got jumped by an ex-boyfriend of Willow's and four of his cronies, and Todd tried to back him up and then got jumped himself.
The initial tussle occurred, the source said, after the young man in question tried to get in to the Hummer limousine after hed engaged in some unspecified questionable behavior.
Track Palin soon found himself struggling to fend off four men who had piled on him, according to the source.
Todd Palin then inserted himself into the brawl, which left the former First Dude of Alaska bleeding.
(snip)
According to the source, as her husband and son were trading blows with their adversaries, [Sarah] Palin was yelling (in reference to her son), Dont you know who he is? Hes a vet!
” now I have 30-60 seconds of my life to do something more worthwhile.”
You “had”. You spent it reading and responding to my post!
I know...I will never understand Christians who have sex with people theyre not married to, or who get drunk and fight, or have children out of wedlock, it is so bizarre to me.
If youre a Christian youre supposed to be following a higher set of values...I just dont get it.
I’ve read the Bible several times and only found one perfect individual. Everyone else screwed up; some did so many times.
Christians are fallen too; that’s why we need a Saviour.
Figured that is what happened..when the supposed “Do you know who I am” was supposedly said, I knew it was BS..Sarah would NEVER talk like that..so now we hear the whole story, she never said that, she said “Don’t you know who HE is, HE is a Vet” referring to her son Track who is Veteran..Sarah was smart to not even respond to this ridiculous story, just sit back and watch the media once again look like morons
Hope he enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame.
