If you can't pin it on Outspoken Liberal Actors, Typical Liberal Messaging and Mismangement, maybe someone can spell CGI.

I haven’t been to a theater this century. It costs to much and there’s nothing I want to see. All of the good movies are on TCM.

We really do need a reason to get up and go into a theatre and eat overpriced snacks and no bathroom breaks and no checking the cell. And films that are either super stupid or attempt to shove liberal politics down our throats aren’t good enough reasons.

TV is doing so much better stuff, screens are great, and there is a pause button. Snack choice is infinite. This isn’t a hard decision.

And the kids that were such a given: they don’t have as much money as that demo used to have, and they can find great stuff to watch online.

It’s either comic book movies or insipid post-feminism chick flicks. I couldn’t believe how many “adults” were raving about Guardians of the Galaxy.

Ticket prices are way too high!
Fandango http://www.fandango.com/los+angeles_ca_movietimes
$15 adults and $11.50 for kids. Mom/Dad and 4 kids is $76! before popcorn!

Rent a movie or find it online (Netflix etc) at no more then $8 a month and you have better picture and sound and food.

90+ % of Hollywood is sorry, irrelevant, arrogant and boring. They should be out of work.

They have worked hard to destroy tradition, morality, Christianity, and have backed Dems to the hilt.

Let them take their medicine without any sugar to make it go down.

There is no sense, right or wrong in scripts--just violence, sex, evil, and hopelessness, so the movies are tired and not entertaining..

Look at all the great western movies and tv series--always right pitted against wrong with heroes like John Wayne to save the day; the great war pics; the great musicals. H'wood has gone total perversion.

Whoa! Another indicator?

No one expected Summer 2014 to tank. No one. Everyone’s saying “wait till next year,” but this year there was a Spider-Man, some X-Men, a bunch of Apes, more Transformers, ..., this past Labor Day weekend was the worst since the post- 9/11 Labor Day weekend.

"No one knows why".

Hah! Looks like no one in Hollyweird has a working brain. That means things will get worse and worse till all the local Bijous are shuttered up across the fruited plain.

Big malls plus half the private entrepeneneur stores in strip malls plus family restaurants are already closed or are in trouble, why not the movie theaters on Main Streets?

The economic depression we're in, high prices for viewing only one film with commercials, conservative boycotts, a current latent fear of being in crowds or out late at night....plus moronic films being ground out by the dozens to pander to teen-age boys, dating couples and adolescent males in the twenty-to-forty five age group who still get their kicks from Spiderman.

No one wants to go out after dinner any more like we did in a bygone era. There's too much entertainment of all kinds at our fingertips at home....with popcorn only a couple cents a bowl.

Big box theaters will disappear soon, although new concepts in movie-watching will be innovated (not necessarily involving the computer at all) for watching at home or in settings not thought of before.

My wife and I have also noticed a trend where teenagers are not eager to get their driver's license. We could not wait for the DMV office to open when we got our licenses.

Now kids have no desire to get behind the wheel.

Some of the drop off in Movie attendance has to be as a result of this.

Add to that big screen TV, home theater sound system, cheaper snacks, safer and quieter environment, less disposable income (if any at all) you got yourself a real depression in the world of entertainment.

That said, wonder what attendance is at sports events and concerts?

“No one knows why. No one can explain it.”

Really? The wife and I haven’t gone to a movie in three years because of the PC crap they call movies. I guess between the poor economy and a total lack of creativity in doing comic books is not a real plan for success.

Well, there are certain actors/actresses I just won’t pay to see. Often won’t even watch them on TV when they are free either.

Bet you can guess most of them. I’ll name just one. Smart-Alec Baldwin. His rant on the tonight show, where he stated we all want to stone Henry Hyde was the last straw for me. Haven’t watched any movies that feature him or his voice. Commercials - all businesses and items to put on a do not purchase list.

And so one and so forth.
