Nearly fifty senior commanders of a major coalition of Islamic 'moderates' opposed to ISIS in Syria have been killed by an explosion at their secret command bunker as they met to discuss strategy against the the Islamic State.
The blast in the Northwest region of Idlib, Syria on Tuesday killed senior members of rebel group the Ahrar-al-Sham brigade (AaS), including leader Hassan Abboud and 45 others including senior members from other rebel alliance groups, reports The Times. The Idlib region stands in AaS territory, but it is close to the front-line with ISIS in neighbouring Aleppo.

Whatever work their HR saves on not having to do the retirement program ( none of their people live long enough to become suicide vested ) they still have to ramp up recruiting and promotions. Probably is the least popular table at job fairs.
“For REAL?!?! YEA!!!!!!”
Perhaps you missed that these guys were OPPOSED to ISIS. The bad guys seem better at keeping their secret locations a secret, or keeping their people loyal.
Moderates?
From the article:
“Many members of AaS have come from groups like Al-Qaeda and would in any other context be considered hard line Islamists.”
Infiltrated and detonated.
Rats! I did misread it.
*sigh*
Umm....becuz the consequences for betrayal are worse with them
I just realized that it was not the bad, bad guys who got it but those opposed to ISIS.
Sounds like the CIA are doing the NWO’s work again.
Given the views of the current administration, this would never happen at 1600 Pennslvania Avenue in DC.
There are no moderate muslims. The sooner the world accepts that, the better for us all.
Remember AQ bumped off their leading opponent just days before hitting us on 09-11-01
....Ya .... I'm sure it's all just a coincidence.
I think that ultimately, Dan Simmons, when history of the 21st century is written, will be known as a prophet.

EVERYONE should read this short story. It is fiction, but so far it is scarily accurate.
Were these some of the ones that were supposed to be 0’s boots on the ground? Were they part of his “coalition”? Just curious.
Don't sweat it. They only oppose ISIS because they want to be the ones to run the caliphate that takes over the world.
The “moderate” rebels are a lie told by State Department funded Elizabeth O’Bagy.
In May 2013, Elizabeth O’Bagy arranged for McCain to meet with the Free Syrian Army. This is the famed photo-op of McCain with “Syrian rebels”.
In an August 30, 2013 Wall Street Journal op-ed titled “On the Front Lines of Syria’s Civil War” O’Bagy promoted the idea that the Free Syrian Army are not jihadists:
“Moderate opposition forcesa collection of groups known as the Free Syrian Armycontinue to lead the fight against the Syrian regime. While traveling with some of these Free Syrian Army battalions, Ive watched them defend Alawi and Christian villages from government forces and extremist groups. Theyve demonstrated a willingness to submit to civilian authority, working closely with local administrative councils. And they have struggled to ensure that their fight against Assad will pave the way for a flourishing civil society.
In Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings regarding a possible attack on Syria McCain cited this op-ed to support the idea that the Free Syrian Army are not jihadists.
The next day Secretary of State John Kerry encouraged members of the House of Representatives to read this op-ed.
Shortly after her op-ed O’Bagy was exposed as a fraud. She did not have a PhD from Georgetown as she had claimed and her connections with the Syrian Emergency Task Force where she was Political Director also came to light. She joined the Syrian Emergency Task Force on May 13.
Prior to her exposure O’Bagy also was employed as a Senior Research Analyst and Syria Team Lead by the Institute for the Study of War, a Washington, DC based foreign policy advisory group focused on the Middle East. She was hired in either August or September 2012 (unclear) and fired September 11, 2013.
The WSJ subsequently issued this clarification:
“In addition to her role at the Institute for the Study of War, Ms. OBagy is affiliated with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit operating as a 501(c)(3) pending IRS approval that subcontracts with the U.S. and British governments to provide aid to the Syrian opposition.”
The Syrian Emergency Task Force is a Washington, DC based lobbying group working for the overthrow of the Syrian government.
The Syrian Emergency Task Force receives funding from the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, itself funded by the State Department.
After being fired by Institute For The Study of War O’Bagy was hired by McCain as a “legislative assistant”.
For later.
I sure do remember.
Maybe the Mahdi climbed out of the well
