7 On Your Side was contacted by several upset parents who say Woodruff High School students were made to take down American flags from their vehicles on 9/11.
Spartanburg District 4 Superintendent Rallie Liston said four students arrived at the school Thursday morning with U.S. flags propped up on poles in their pickup truck beds.
The school's principal, Aaron Fulmer, confiscated the flags because he said it is against district policy to “draw attention,” to one's vehicle.
The flags were returned to the students at the end of the day.

What you mention doesn’t surprise me.
I just think these two could have used their heads in advance of this. My comment was meant to be somewhat sarcastic.
I hope it’s a size 13 frankly. I hope it leaves a big friken mark too.

Is it just me, or do those screams for more money “for the children” sound rather hollow after a while?
I hear all these stories about dedication to the children, “Yes, it was my lifetime calling. I couldn’t do anything else it meant so much to me to dedicate my life to the children.”

In education, I’m sorry but it seems to me in excess of $100k is simply that, excessive.
How do you justify to yourself, the extra $25, $50, $100, or more thousand dollars that comes out of the education fund, is not taking away from service to help those kids?
It’s a government job. Government funds should be spend judiciously. If you can’t live off $100k, then find another profession, and let someone who is actually dedicated to the kids take your place.
As for outside income, aren’t you being paid to be a full time educator or administrator? Then spend your time doing just that. At night, spend your time thinking of ways to improve things at the job you’re being paid to do.
If you’re sapping your strength to fulfill another job, you’re shortchanging the first job. Your creativity is being sapped for your own advancement. That isn’t right.
If you can’t live off the $100k, fine. Get another job that pays more.

yep... and conservatives continue sending their children to government schools... indoctrination centers... the results of the "public school" endeavor has rendered results exactly as expected... all according to plan... and still, conservatives participate...

Nope...This don’t work...The American flag is the national flag of OUR country...It can and should be proudly flown ANYWHERE in our country...
The rainbow flag means nothing nationally... The mexican flag means something...IN MEXICO...
Does the school fly the Stars and Stripes, our National Flag, on a flagpole on school grounds??????
Frankly, our efforts should be directed to dissolving the Department of Education and the entire public school system.
I have said I wouldn’t mind if the schools were closed for a full year to reorganize.
It would involve a lot of restructuring and personnel changes.
It would also involve completely reworking the materials and policies such that this nation’s history and relevancy were re-instituted into the curriculum.
It’s too detailed to cover in a short response, but it needs to be done.

When Jimmy Carter started the federal Dept of Educution in 1978, he did more damage to the American education system in that one move than had happened in the previous 202 years....
the best way would be for conservatives to pull their kids out... i liken government school to government housing... no thanks! not for my family...
