Football players at Arkansas State University were ordered to either remove a Christian cross decal from their helmets or modify it into a mathematical sign after a Jonesboro attorney complained that the image violated the U.S. Constitution.
The cross decal was meant to memorialize former player Markel Owens and former equipment manager Barry Weyer, said athletic director Terry Mohajir. Weyer was killed in a June car crash. Owens was gunned down in Tennessee in January.

Give us the info and I’ll do my part. It’s time we quit being a rug for these heathen to wipe their feet on!
The only state approved religion today is the worship of Barack Obama.
I guess they should replace those Cross stickers with rainbow stickers. Because that’s certainly what they are showing themselves to be for buckling under and bowing down to PC idiocy: a bunch of weak, cowardly faggots.
The more people surrender to this PC cultural “shiara,” the quicker America succumbs to serfdom. Not that I’ve seen much backbone in America circa-2014 to actually combat or slow down this march. Our American ancestors should be turning in their graves, upon how weak, cowardly and subserviant our populace has become, constantly caving to the most ludicrous demands by PC fascists.
Easy fix.
Just go ahead and remove the cross so the ONE person does not have his little feelings hurt.
Then have 20 or so vinyl cross stickers made up that are twice the size of the original. Sell the stickers to the players for a nickel a piece and tell them they can stick them to their helmet or not.
Saves legal fees... gets the job done... and pisses off the whiney little liberal.
“If they stuck a muslim symbol on their helmets, or a druid symbol, the lawsuit would never have happened.”
So, then, only a Christian symbol is worth attacking?
I wonder why that is.
Perhaps it is because only a Christian symbol represents something that Satan really, really objects to.
PFL
Thats what I don’t get.
Why don’t they just say “no” and move on?
“The more people surrender to this PC cultural shiara, the quicker America succumbs to serfdom.”
Daniel Patrick Moynahan said that a man is entitled to his opinion, but not to his own facts.
That is how the leftards, greentards, animal rights whackos, and every other variety of idiot over there gets to where they are—by asserting their own facts.
Because these “facts” do not concord with reality, their conclusions are idiotic.
It is no longer possible to convince enough of them that CNN and PMSNBC have been lying to them.
This removal of God and the US flag at schools and businesses is increasing. Scroll up about 7, 8 posts and there’s a school that had to remove the flag from vehicles yesterday! 9/11 of all days!
It does not violate the Constitution.
The Constitution is about establishing a state sanctioned church — a reason the founding fathers left their homes to come to America.
I know why, but I’m just saying that being a “nice, civil Christian” on every issue we face today will be our slaughter. Maybe that’s just how it has to be.
They must have a stroke when the team plays TCU...
Yeah. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but it is ironic that Satan takes the Cross very seriously.
I guess I was just thinking that it doesn’t take any guts, really, to pick on Christians. Bad people who want attention bank on the fact that Christians will turn the other cheek.
Then of course there is the Arkansas State Constitution to consider. Here's how it begins:
We, the People of the State of Arkansas, grateful to Almighty God for the privilege of choosing our own form of government; for our civil and religious liberty; and desiring to perpetuate its blessings, and secure the same to our selves and posterity; do ordain and establish this Constitution.
Here is a link to a picture where you can see the crosses. Also shows the names on the jersey back and player Clark is sitting right next to his teammate Griswold.
