We need more 85 IQs in leadership positions.
Kind of ironic, ain’t it...that the Sharptons and Jacksons of the world must REALLY hate that quote.
someway, somehow the armed forces must become off limits to social scientists.
“What the Army needs is more LGBT’s Leading it” Now I have fixed the headline. America we are so screwed!

Such concern is another reason this nation is deteriorating.
Easy solution: Don’t push good men like Allen West out of the service.
I worry that the current fad of social engineering in the armed forces will destroy the effectiveness of our military.
Oh, they have a “too-many-white-quarterbacks-and-coaches” problem.
Allen West was forced out for being a leader.
Maybe they need to draft some....
Why is there such a thing, anyway?
US Army Sociologists??????? WTF!
Yeah, its our ‘burden’.
There is no better example than this for the utter irrational lunacy of the left. Occupations where actual lives and public safety are on the line (Military Officers, Defense Scientists and Engineers)are constantly chastised for not having enough “diversity”, while conveniently ignoring the fact that minorities are actually already OVERREPRESENTED based on percent actually qualified for the job in the general population (college ed, right degree, able to hold a clearance, etc.). However, when we then look at the NBA/NFL, a stupid game in which no one’s life is at risk, it is “too important” to support diversity by hiring more under-represented players (e.g. whites).
The Army needs to push to have Major Hassan released from prison to run the Army.
My contempt for leftists defies description.
I never had any problem serving under somebody of any race - because I knew that if they had got there, it was because they had earned it.
Just the fact that the idea of putting somebody in command because of their race has been voiced, can lead to people starting to doubt that - the mere expression of the idea works against the interests of the people it’s supposedly meant to help.
Because everybody can wonder “Is he there because he’s good enough - or just because he ticked the right boxes on the chart?”
You should never have any reason to doubt that the person giving you orders deserved to be there. Such doubts are poison.
Considering Caucasians are over represented in the combat arms fields and Negroes are underrepresented in those same fields what is the problem, especially since Negroes hold 10% of the jobs and they are only 13% of the total population. It sounds about right to me.
Lack of diversity was the chief cause of the Japanese and German defeats in WWII.
You could look it up...
The fact is that not all groups are randomly distributed across all measures.
Blacks in the Army tend to select support functions more frequently than the general population, and the Combat Arms (Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Engineer) less than average.
There are many cultural and economic reasons that influence these decisions, and ultimately, everyone is an individual. Using statistics, you can predict pretty accurately outcomes for large groups, but not so for individuals.
My guess as to one big reason why Blacks disproportionally self-select for support specialties, is that many (like my white self) go into the Army as an avenue to advance themselves in life - to get an education and get a marketable skill. There are not many ads in the wanted section for machine gun operators. I have no doubt there are other factors as well - people are complicated.
When they say that they have a plan - but its complicated, what they mean is that they impose quotas on promotion for blacks (and historically women and Hispanics as well), but they can not say so, because the courts do not support this reverse discrimination approach. This has been the case for decades.
