On September 10, one of the stores in the gun-free Chipotle chain "temporarily closed" after employees "walked off the job," citing their work environment/conditions.
This particular Chipotle was located in State College, Pennsylvania.
According to Eater.com, the employees affixed a note to the drive-thru window explaining their actions: "Want to know why we are closed? Ask our corporate offices why we are forced to work in borderline sweatshop conditions."
On May 20, Breitbart News reported that Chipotle banned guns in their restaurants. By doing this, Chipotle became one of the first of six businesses which Moms Demand Action successfully pressured into disarming law-abiding citizens. (The others are Chili's, Sonic, Target, Jack in the Box, and Panera.)

Exactly.
That's the whole point of concealment.
I challenge anyone to tell if I'm carrying.
If forced to show by proper law enforcement, they'd be damn well surprised to find two pistols (.45 and 9mm) and four knives...and that's with a pair of cargo shorts and a t-shirt on.
But I don't patronize those places anyway.
I used to pick up a loaf of bread at Panera on a regular basis, but no more.
They don't want my legal guns, they don't get my legal tender.
What about Sonics? No one goes in the ones here. The one up the street even has a drive through.
OK, I see your points about not doing business with them . But, frankly I live in the middle of nowhere and pretty much any of the mentioned franchises are at least a half hour away for me. So the chance to patronize them are few and far between anyways.
CC
That gave me a chuckle...as the closest one on the list is still a good 20 miles from me.

I don't miss not patronizing them, except for Panera. I did like that occasional loaf of Farm Bread and the 7-grain bread.
They'll never know why they lost me as a customer, but I will.
That doesn't mean that I'm going to isolate myself and keep expanding my "boycott" list (I hate that term), but I'm already pretty well isolated unless I choose otherwise, and in my opinion, that's what it's all about anyway.
If I have a need for plasticized fast food some day, I'll enter any one of them I please, but I won't disarm and they'll never know.
I'll certainly never use my right to protect their establishment. I carry for me and for the weak that have no defenses.
Anybody desperate enough to rob a Chili's or a Sonic ain't gonna get no argument from me, unless he chooses to direct his desperation towards me.
The workers at the Chipotles I patronize are stupid and slow. They are paid too well, imho.
Yeah. Ship them to China or wherever to work for Nike. Then they’ll know sweatshop conditions. I swear, these leeches are so overdramatic. Just like how the left was claiming that the SCOTUS “raped” women by not making Hobby Lobby give up its religious freedoms.

I feel sorry for the people who tell me Chipotle is good Mexican food.
Some how they think that their utopia is going to work, Pookie and Ray Ray can read a little bit and they see these as soft targets!
I don’t cuss them, but I firmly tell the that they screwed up my order....is that more better? I respect someone who does a good job. I have little respect, and would never hire a mediocre worker. I want an employee that wants to make more money to provide for their family. I want someone that has desire.
Like I said, I don’t know your age, but I think my dad gave me the work ethic to make customers happy, and want to come back.
Hehehehehehehehe. Boot Camp is ultra-totalitarian sweatshop work...but you finish with a unique and specialized skill set.
Sonics is on the list?
Serious?
There is no ‘inside’ to Sonics. Almost everyone stays in their car.
MAybe once upon a time, but not any more. Most of the retail salesholes I have run into in the last twenty years or more don't give a crap unless their on commission and then most haven't got a clue as to what their selling. And instead of cussing, why don't you just make your own burger. Amd if you don't think fast food is sweatshop work you didn't do it for long. And save your squaking, it's obvious that you have no respect for the people in food industry. And I have done Food, retail and construction.
OOPS! SgtBob no able to respond, done got suspended
It’s a trick. He set his home page to say that.
Old trick ‘round these parts.
Sokay with me if want’s to respond, I’m game.
Yes it is.
HMMMM, in my area Chipotle, nor Sonic, not Chilis (don’t know about Target or Panera) has put up any “no guns allowed” signs. In Texas, a business can completely ban legal firearms only by posting the state required bi-lingual 30.06 sign and none of these companies have done so. According to the law, if alcohol is sold or served in the business, a sign stating that only licensed concealed carry handguns are allowed is required. Expressing a desire that no guns be brought into a business is completely different than actually banning legal guns being brought into that business here in Texas.
I think that Sonic’s boss is a big time Friend Of Bill and a major Rat donor.
I didn’t know that, thanks.
Still, what an empty victory to get them on the list. Laughable victory.
