On September 10, one of the stores in the gun-free Chipotle chain "temporarily closed" after employees "walked off the job," citing their work environment/conditions.
This particular Chipotle was located in State College, Pennsylvania.
According to Eater.com, the employees affixed a note to the drive-thru window explaining their actions: "Want to know why we are closed? Ask our corporate offices why we are forced to work in borderline sweatshop conditions."
On May 20, Breitbart News reported that Chipotle banned guns in their restaurants. By doing this, Chipotle became one of the first of six businesses which Moms Demand Action successfully pressured into disarming law-abiding citizens. (The others are Chili's, Sonic, Target, Jack in the Box, and Panera.)

Chipolte, Chili's, Sonic, Target, Jack in the Box, and Panera
That’s what “Reverend” Al refers to as Chip Ole’ for those in Rio Linda.
Maybe it’s time for their insurance company to review the premium for their robbery coverage. I’d think that would skyrocket since they literally begging for the wrong kind of take out business.
We can dislike Chipotle's stupid no guns policy, but lets not side with these slackers.
Don’t be fooled. This just part of SEIU’s $15 minimum wage campaign.
Retail is not for the faint of heart. It’s just not. It IS sweat shop conditions. I salute Americans who work it. Most of them do it with a great work ethic.
What is the reason for Chili’s?
Ah, forget the previous post. I saw the reference.
What did Sonic do? I do not patronize the others
Sonic did the same thing as the rest, asked people with legal guns to stay away.
State College, PA. home of Penn State. Nice hardworking lieberal students ya got there Chipholte. No guns or productive workers either. Nice lose-lose scenario.
How are they going to know? Search the car?? Stupid!
I rec.a $10.gift card to Chipolte.
I went in, looked at the menu and the food, walked out and gave the card away.
No thanks.
Actually, none of those companies banned guns here in Virginia. They said they did, but then refused to put up the little signs that would have made carrying into them trespassing. They’re just giving lip service to Moms Demand Some Action.
Don’t forget Starbucks.
They can ask all they want; no sign no compliance. In commierado, the signs are not even legally binding.
thanks
If they don’t see my gun, how do they know I’m armed?
CC
They won’t but I choose not to give them my business.
Short-order cook, and fast food cashiers ain’t retail sales.
Fast food restaurant workers provide a service...a customer orders what they want, and the employees deliver...2 times out of 10...
Retail salesmen/chicks have to convince a customer that they cannot live without said product...get them to part with their money. Fast food; we give the money to the company for a shoddy product.
Go ahead and salute your fry cook; I’ll cuss them because I said, “I DONT WANT DAMNED ONIONS ON MY BURGER!”
I’d be willing to bet you are a bit younger than me...that said, I’ve done fast food, and retail. Retail is more lucrative, but neither is “sweatshop” work.
It’s all retail to me. Hope I don’t see you at a restaurant/fast food joint cursing at the help. I don’t like that stuff - I was brought up to respect everyone who held a job.
