Sarah Palin may have channeled her inner lipstick-wearing pit bull this past weekend, when her entire family was reportedly involved in a brawl in Alaska.
Details are scarce, but according to a local blog in the Palins' hometown of Wasilla, Sarah's son Track (who may have been under the influence of alcohol) got into a physical altercation with an ex-boyfriend of his sister Willow's at a snowmobile party.

I have an MFA from the University of Iowa in creative writing, and Ive been reporting in Alaska since 2002, covering everything from crime to arts, from outdoors to the Arctic. Ive been a stringer for Bloomberg, the New York Times, and a contributor to Newsweek. I have been published in many other publications, including Harpers and the New York Times Magazine. (One of my favorites was a little piece I wrote for Allure magazine about how women in prison turn everyday items into beauty products. The things those women could do with a pencil!) Im also the co-author of the book, Crude Awakening: Money, Mavericks and Mayhem in Alaska, which focuses on oil and politics. I started this blog in 2013 after leaving the Alaska Dispatch, which I co-founded. While the focus of the blog is primarily on politics, I reserve the right to surprise. I might even write a piece or two about makeup. One thing is constant, however: I to try my best to avoid lazy snark and and I always strive for balance. Please let me know when Im not hitting the mark. Thanks for reading. - Amanda

No idea what happened but I’ll say this:
If there were more ‘solutions’ like this on the local level, there would be less lawyers screwing the world up and a more ‘polite society’/less liberals overall. The old west way has plenty to say for it.
And besides, anyone from small town America knows this stuff isn’t ‘unheard of’ to begin with.

I was going to say the same thing. Isn’t it telling that with the Kennedys we have to ask for a clarification?

There’s always some idiot who wants to try and take on someone famous. That’s why many of them have body guards.

Exactly.....the only people who ever call me a “right winger” are liberals...and I’m quite happy to wear the term...
Better to be a right winger than a wrong winger.

No problem with the brawling stuff but I hope she didnt say do you know who I am. As a lot have said here we are hearing second hand reports aka hearsay. Anyway it would depend on the context of that statement. E.g., "Do you KNOW who I am!" or was it a simple "Do you know who I am?" Makes a big difference.

I am a conservative.
I don’t like Sarah. And I think the fawning over her at FR is just silly. I think she is a beautiful woman. But I think she is a phones. I think she is a self promoter beyond comparison. I think she thinks about herself and making a quick buck. I think she bounces from one thing to another, much like every other B list Hollywood star, searching for a payday and an ego boost.
I liked her when she was running for Veep. I stopped thinking she was “all that” when she quit. I know the reasons why she quit. But it would have been better for her to stand and fight.
So, that’s why I don’t like her.

Something clearly happened up in Alaska this weekend. It's evidently been confirmed by the Anchorage PD that there was a big broohaha, and that the Palin family was in attendance. There were a lot of people "in attendance" 13 years ago in NY when "something clearly happened", so?
