They aren’t called ANALysts for nothing.
Sure Pete, whatever you say...

Al-Qaeda didn’t own oil fields. ‘nuf said!
I would be grateful if CNN really believed what they said and would move their HQ to Mosul. Perhaps CNN believes that liberals are stupid and not evil, but I don’t buy that.
Hoping they will be beheaded last.
Free Republic analyst finds CNN to be Mostly hype.
There. Better.
My apology to keep harping on this but could any of these analysts tell me why they continue to avoid the true issue. The truth is that islam, all of islam, is the problem.
The only people supporting Obama’s stupid position are indeed his twins in the media. Even some liberal dem senators are complaining about our inaction.
To my mind there ain’t no maybe about it. Given ISIS radical nature and their RESOURCES and the Political Correctness and bias of the media plus the wide open border plus foaming at the mouth America hating radicals in the loop at the very top...we’re gonna’ get hit HARD and SOON.
Lets send him over to do some on the scene reporting. Think he’ll go for it?
And look at this gem from Mr. Bergen:
On May 2, 2011, shortly after it was reported that Osama bin Laden had been killed, Bergen stated on CNN: "Killing bin Laden is the end of the War on Terror. We can just sort of announce that right now."[6]
Dispensing potentially lethal advice should be a punishable offense.
Copy and paste this moron’s article and send it back to them after we get attacked again.
Beware the conclusions of amateur analysts (and many of the pros as well). In this particular field you don’t have to be very far wrong to be catastrophically wrong. What they are really talking about here with regard to “threat to the U.S.” is the ability to project force to the U.S. homeland. There are other ways to hurt the U.S., of course, but more to the point, everything said about ISIS here was equally true of al Qaeda prior to 9/11. And then it wasn’t.
There seems to be some confusion about “American” citizens that are choosing to travel to the Middle East and enlist in the cause of the Islamic State, and the very real threat they pose to the territory once known as “the United States of America”.
For one thing, the number is more than likely underestimated. There are all kinds of protests that can be raised against that abstraction that was “the United States of America”, and not all of them are raised within that territory. There is effectively NO barrier to the widespread entry or re-entry of enemy combatants through the border with Mexico, and the number of ISIS agents already here is probably impossible to estimate now.
The date September 11 is fast approaching, and there is an almost certain likelihood of some vast conspiracy taking place, with simultaneous strikes in many widely scattered sites, those against malls or various educational institutions being prime targets. This is terrorism on an immense scale, such as never before seen on the North American continent, and we do not have a Vladimir Putin who is ruthless enough to take necessary countermeasures.
There is potential for a vast amount of collateral damage. And not all of it will be done to “American” citizens, in this country under false pretenses, but who sympathize with the cause of ISIS and the Worldwide Caliphate. But these bearers of “false colors” will surely bear the brunt of the retaliation.
I’ll get back with you Friday on this.
