IT is only for ObamaCARE, so that Moslems,
Congress, their staff, SCOTUS and pOTUS are EXEMPT.

Death will determined by the state for all non Moslems
unfortunate to be under Law (not in Congress).

All families should have these discussions long before they are needed. Sadly people become in capacitated and get more or less treatment than they wanted.

Why is everyone so afraid of discussing death? Why is everyone so afraid of talking about what kind of care they want?

These are not death panels. Death panels are the Feds who decide what coverage you get....those are the ones you have to watch out for.

Docs and nurses already talk with families about end of life issues. This does change any of that

AAnd by the way, if you haven’t done any advanced planning you better start now. If it isn’t in writing and agreed to be your family, you could end up in a bad way.

Your comment may yet be true. This article has NOTHING to do with that.

The Slimes acts like this is new. It is not. Docs have been having these discussions with patients for decades

Families do have the talks but the youngest sister or the grand daughter that lives miles away comes to the bedside and has a conniption fit when she learns that every possible heroic act is not being made to keep granny alive two more weeks.

I don’t mind talking about it with my family. I do mind, however, having the government decide when it’s my time to go.

Just ask the conniption fitter if they want to pay for it. That should do it.

To reiterate and further confirm your comment: A good friend of mine works in a palliative care unit at a large hospital. She said that very often, the “in town” family, who has been there with the patient, knows well the situation, has been talking to the docs and the patient (if there was the opportunity) is on board with the plan to keep the patient comfortable, etc. and not actively pursue any treatment or attempts to prolong life. An ‘out of town’ relative comes in, doesn’t know what has been and perhaps is going on, and totally upsets the apple cart, and as you well stated “has a conniption fit when she/he learns that every possible heroic act is not being made to keep granny alive two more weeks”.

This is not an uncommon occurrence and it’s VERY disruptive and upsetting to the family, perhaps the patient (if still aware, etc.) and also the staff caring for the patient.

The point is, why does the AMA have to create a code for the discussions? It’s to get THIRD-PARTY reimbursement from the GOVERNMENT for having those discussions. Normal, reasonable people agree that these discussions have to take place. What is sinister is when the government offers doctors money to have these discussions in order to save its programs from being taxed for more expenditures. It is the institutionalization of the death panel. Call it what it is.

“Well, maybe you don’t need the treatment. Maybe you don’t. Maybe your quality of life is such you don’t need it anyway. We’ll save money.” Next question. Member of the audience. Jane Sturm: “My mother is now over 105. But at 100, the doctors said to her, ‘I can’t do anything more unless you have a pacemaker.’ I said, ‘Go for it.’ She said, ‘Go for it.’ But the specialist said, ‘No, she’s too old.’ But when the other specialist saw her and saw her joy of life, he said, ‘I’m going for it.’ That was over five years ago. My question to you is: Outside the medical criteria for prolonging life for somebody who is elderly, is there any consideration that can be given for a certain spirit, a certain joy of living, a quality of life, or is it just a medical cutoff at a certain age?”

Obama: “I don’t think that we can make judgments based on people’s ‘spirit.’ Uh, that would be, uh, a pretty subjective decision to be making. I think we have to have rules that, uh, say that, uh, we are going to provide good quality care for all people. End-of-life care is one of the most difficult sets of decisions that we’re going to have to make. But understand that those decisions are already being made in one way or another. If they’re not being made under Medicare and Medicaid, they’re being made by private insurers. At least we can let doctors know — and your mom know — that you know what, maybe this isn’t going to help. Maybe you’re better off, uhh, not having the surgery, but, uhh, taking the painkiller.” Do you realize how cold and heartless that answer is? This woman is asking about her mother. And everywhere she went, except one doctor, refused to put in the pacemaker. “Nah, she’s too old; she’s going to die anyway.”

The further down the obamacare slope you go, the slippery it gets, with many steep cliffs along the way.

We knew that. And they knew that. They just did not want the sheep to know that. Until just before slaughter day.

They plane the death of those of us who have health conditions that are costly to treat. They abort innocent babies as if they were just pieces of garbage.

Yet you can’t get 1 Rapist Killer of a 8 year old little girl put to death.

What IF Ashely were your daughter? Would you help her get JUSTICE? That IS WHAT I ask of each of you who read this post.

NOTE: ALL STATE AND FEDERAL APPEALS WERE UPHELD, That 2 juries decided was the correct course of action for this cruel rapist/killer. I remember the knock on my door in the hunt for what was thought to be a missing child, even by her rapist/killer. This was back before Amber Alerts.

Ashley Nichole ‘Nikki’ Read, age 8, RAPED and KILLED by david keen. 24 yrs ago. He has been on TN Death Row for 20 yrs. ALL State and Federal Appeals are run out. Yet TN Gov Bill Halsam (RINO) refuses to set an execution date or sign the execution warrant.

Nikki was raped, strangled with her own Shoelaces, and thrown in the river barely still alive, where she finally drown to death. 24 Yrs of waiting for Justice, is obscene.

Tell TN Governor to do his Constitutional Duty, that 2 juries decided was the right course of action. Death Penalty.

Most children don’t want to hear it. It is a needed discussion. We both have DNR and living Wills in place with our wishes expressly spelled out. We made sure the 2 principal parties were given copies, they are in our medical records and Marital trust fund.

Our tiny ‘estate’ is tied up in a Marital Trust if 1 of goes first, then into individual trusts if both go. Ours was more complicated as we were widowed seniors with grown children of our own when we married 6 yrs ago. So it took a lot of splitting. Just to cover our children. We did not do the grands or great grands. Even personal items are detailed who they go to.

It was kind of expensive, but well worth it, it ensures no probate, and protects the trust fund from lawsuits, or money grubbing spouses or parents. Yeah, I have one of those irresponsible adult children. His portion goes to his son for education, and he is NOT the trustee. I may be old, I’m not senile.

It's the part of Obamacare thanks to PELOSI (Palliative End of Life Optimum Serenity Initiative).

obama was obviously pixxed that his granny insisted on a hip replacement. Very uncomfortable circumstance that his granny lived as she did her final days, a virrual prisoner in her apartment, and died as and when she did.

He was and is a very very cold man. As how he treated his Mother and grandmother in their final illnesses and after death

Who wants him and his creepy Dr Death advisor Ezekiel Emmanuel writing mandatory rules for YOUR doctors based on their formula estimating the worth to society of your continued existence- even if you want to use your own money for treatment

Its cheaper to have people kill themselves then it is to pay for their healthcare now that the government has destroyed the healthcare system.

If you want bad healthcare look at the V.A. hospital system. That’s what your going to get.
