MANY white Americans say they are fed up with the coverage of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. A plurality of whites in a recent Pew survey said that the issue of race is getting more attention than it deserves.
Bill O’Reilly of Fox News reflected that weariness, saying: “All you hear is grievance, grievance, grievance, money, money, money.”
Indeed, a 2011 study by scholars at Harvard and Tufts found that whites, on average, believed that anti-white racism was a bigger problem than anti-black racism.
Yes, you read that right!
So let me push back at what I see as smug white delusion. Here are a few reasons race relations deserve more attention, not less:
• The net worth of the average black household in the United States is $6,314, compared with $110,500 for the average white household, according to 2011 census data. The gap has worsened in the last decade, and the United States now has a greater wealth gap by race than South Africa did during apartheid. (Whites in America on average own almost 18 times as much as blacks; in South Africa in 1970, the ratio was about 15 times.)
• The black-white income gap is roughly 40 percent greater today than it was in 1967.
• A black boy born today in the United States has a life expectancy five years shorter than that of a white boy.
• Black students are significantly less likely to attend schools offering advanced math and science courses than white students. They are three times as likely to be suspended and expelled, setting them up for educational failure....

It’s worth noting that welfare recipients are limited in net worth to qualify for welfare payments so their reported net worth numbers are either low balled or part of the welfare culture
I worked with welfare recipients in the 80’s and 90’s at several state unemployment centers. Here’s a typical arrangement, from what I saw. Mom gets TANF (used to be AFDC), food stamps, WIC, possibly Section 8 and government cheese and she’ll work an off-the-books gig of some kind. Dad, if there is one, is on unemployment, workman’s compensation or some kind of disability. He also has an off-the-books job or side business (legal or illegal) and also often works for goods or barters things, etc. The kids all get free school lunches and are often on disability. The family goes religiously to several food banks and receive thanksgiving, Christmas and seasonal clothing from various charities.
Not recognizing why this “racial divide” is being perpetuated has nothing to do with such lofty counter arguments being offered by the political opposition on “equality” or “justice”. It’s to keep the blacks riled up so that any talk of censure or impeachment become unrealistic.
Those discussions are viewed with glee and laughed at by the democrats because it first of all lends credability to their lying assertions and diverts focus from the real reason why the those in power are using this political device known as division. It’s to keep the democrats unquestioningly in power.
American Negroes are serfs meant to stay stupid and ignorant of reality.
And by god, it's working well for the Democrat party.
There was a time when educated blacks began to sound like educated people speaking plain English.
Now, a black speaking proper English is reviled.
Blacks have a subculture that is unpleasant, and demeaning to women and others. It glorifies crime and drugs.
I don’t think blacks will meld into the American culture. Ever.
That is another reason, among many, why I do not think we can avoid another civil war.
BTW, who is the richest woman in the world?
Just imagine what she couldn't have done if she had bought into this crap, herself.

Here’s my attention, generational entitlements, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, fatherless homes, unwed dependent mothers, illegitimate children, gangs, support embrace and encourage the thug lifestyle these are personal issues they need to be responsible for and will not. Allowing the rats who control the candyman plantation owner black national caucus who freely hand out tax payer money through infinite programs and scams keeping them all down on the farm. Until these communities and people realize this and want to change this the lie of American racism is the blame for thier woes is just that a lie. Explain the millions of black professionals and business owners in America. Oh the media the racebaiters, the plantation owners and the politicians want to hide this success story
Oprah isn’t the richest woman, that title belongs to Queen Elizabeth II or Christy “Wal-Mart” Walton, depending on who is doing the tabulating.
Maybe the idea of “racism” has bacome such a joke the last few years. Not everything, such as disagreeing with someone’s policies, is racism, but never fails someone will call almost anything they believe a colored person doesn’t like.....racist.
Areas with high costs of living often leave parents with little recourse but to use the public education stables.
I understand what you’re describing; I’ve seen a lot of the instant gratification phenomenon spread to young whites as well. In my area whites don’t buy homes anymore; they have abandoned the area to Hispanics and Asians as the cost of living (especially property taxes, and therefore rents) have soared while good jobs have become scarce.
I see plenty of young whites who are foregoing families and homes that are quite happy to work their arses off in cruddy jobs just to have a cool car...
It is past time to end the fiction of the Black community. There is a series of black subcultures that fragment the community at large.
The lazy unproductive gibsmedat black subculture that is the urban cancer are lumped with the productive educated motivated integrated black subculture. They are not a homogeneous group other than by skin color.
The latter are constantly being harmed by the former. The leadership cunningly and deceitfully uses the former as a tool to take from the latter.

That sense of entitlement has only gotten worse since Obama. The next time you’re flying (assuming you still can deal with TSA) notice who the coach passengers are who insist on using the first class bathroom. Yesterday one minority did that. Soon after three others did. It was a flight less than 2 hours.
Not any more. The Dems/Commies have spent the last 30 years changing the concept of equal opportunity to equal outcome. It started with the insipid "self esteem" garbage taught in the public schools that spread like a virus throughout the country. Added to that they changed school curriculum to less math and science and more towards fake history and stupid sociology.
Once all those pseudo educated children left school they let the schools teach their offspring the same junk plus more. Like a snowball rolling downhill it got bigger (worse) until it is now almost unstoppable.
Liberal elite idiots don't allow facts on the table that disagree with their preconceived notions.
