Twice in the past 30 minutes, when executing a link to one of the FreeRepublic posts, Firefox sent me a warning page that the "site" I was going to was a malware threat.
In more detail, the notice explained that it gets that threat info from Google, and that FreeRepublic had been identified as a "malware" threat.
Who knows if some troll got p-o'd or if WH trolls are involved in having set up the threat notice at Google.
I don't know what the mods can do.
Ping.
“Google Threat to FreeRepublic”
Maybe you should read this and alert your son to check it out?
malware?
FR runs a tight ship, doesn’t even have ads. The code is very tight. Just look at the HTML of the page you are reading.
I use Pale Moon, which was a fork of Firefox and I have not seen anything like that
Wuli Buli...
Please post a link to the thread in question.
Marcella, you are still up and posting? How are you feeling?
It’s coming from an image linked in a reply. I got the same message, but it wasn’t FR, but the site a linked image was being served from.
Like to see that myself.
Are you running the ‘doze OS, and using the default IE (Internet Explorer) browser? Because I am running Linux and the Opera browser and have seen no such problems.
F.R.- A threat to tyranny everywhere.
I just did a search for “freerepublic” via Google using Firefox and then clicked the link Google provided and there were no warnings or other issues. If Google thinks the site has issues that’s when it would have provided the warnings. Are you sure you don’t have some sort of Trojan or address bar redirector screwing things up?
I’m trying to find the exact TWO links.
But, after I finally told the “threat” page to ignore the threat, it may now be that my browser will no longer display the threat page.
I have completely closed my Firefox and restarted it to try to get it to happen again, but have failed so far.
I’ll keep trying.

using Firefox and last 1/2 hr getting “Server Error “ notices
If you are running a personalized mozilla browser on linux, I will be abject in my apology.
Abject and contrite.

This is the issue, and a mod should look at it. There is an image embedded in the “WH Responds to Petition to Demand Release of Marine Held in Mexico “ thread from the Buffalo beast wordpress site. Google thinks that blog has been hacked, and malware has been served. Because there is content from buffalo beast being embedded, google is also trying to block access to the FR post so that bad content from Buffalo Beast isn’t loaded.
