Support for Republican challenger Tom Cotton has slipped a bit, turning the Arkansas Senate race into a dead heat.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Arkansas Voters finds Democratic Senator Mark Pryor with 44% of the vote to Cottons 43%. Six percent (6%) like another candidate in the race, and another six percent (6%) are undecided.

If Pryor wins this I will be 100% convinced there’s voter fraud. I know too many people in Arkansas who are sick of him.
With all that Tom Cotton has going for him, he still hasn’t been able to put this race away. If there are any Freepers in Arkansas, please tell me what’s going on over there. I’m becoming concerned.
In five years, there will only be purple states and blue states.

Pryor literally calls constituents and asks them if there’s anything he can do for them. What they ask, he delivers.
Mark Pryor paints Tom Cotton as pro-Ebola in Ark.
Senate race
Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryors re-election campaign unveiled a new advertisement warning that his rival, Rep. Tom Cotton, opposes government funding to protect the country against the Ebola epidemic that has killed hundreds of people in Africa.
Some GOP WAVE.....
Pryor is ‘old family’ in Arkansas politics.

Cotton ads have been rather light.
Pryor ads make allegations and half-truths. So far, there has been little defense from Cotton.
==
Ironically, several months ago, Pryor was running ads that accused Cotton of wanting to raise the SS/Medicare ages. Recently, Cotton has been running ads that accuse Pryor of wanting to raise the SS/Medicare ages.

The ad wars should increase next month and into October.
I sure hope Cotton has a few October surprises ready to run down down the chute.
Cotton doesn’t seem to be that great of a candidate. He has all the advantages of home field, with a stellar resume (Harvard Law, Iraq & Afghanistan Vet, Bronze Star), and yet he can’t close the deal against a turd like Pryor.
Although, in fairness to Cotton, the story is similar in all four of the red states (which were considered layups last year). The Dems are not going down like Blanche Lincoln did in 2010.
Hagan in NC, Landrieu in LA, Pryor in AR, and Begich in AK - all are deadlocked with only a couple months to go. The GOP could win each one. But also lose every one.
The punk POTUS is absolutely toxic in that state.
I get your view, but a lot of states like Arkansas have been traditionally Democrat. We are seeing Cotton run against a big family name. It is frustrating but these races won’t all be easy, especially when the party is so inept. They think if they just sit back and dump money into ads, they can’t miss a senate majority.
It’s lack of information, not opposition in the media. Recent trip through AR and the number of AM news stations was almost zero. There are the stupid sports stations, and a state advertising station for something that was just a continuos loop commercial. If you got close to LR you could get a few close stations, but out in the sticks? Nothing. No news just sports.
Travel through Texas and the number of AM stations is amazing, pick and choose, your choice. Once out of TX it’s information wasteland. I know, FM, satellite and other sources are out there, but if free radio does not offer news, it’s been removed for a reason.
"Our Bolton PAC endorsed candidates - Tom Cotton and Joni Ernst - are under fierce attack from far left political groups.
Bolton PAC is preparing emergency advertising campaigns to negatively respond to these ridiculous liberal attacks. We plan to launch our counter offensive just after the end of the month.
Let me detail what we are up against:
>>> President Obama is headlining fundraisers for Harry Reid-aligned Super PACs, which have already spent $2.5 million smashing Tom Cotton.
>>> The Washington Post has called the attacks by Reid's PAC against Cotton "as phony as a three-dollar bill."
“If Pryor wins this I will be 100% convinced theres voter fraud. I know too many people in Arkansas who are sick of him.”
Agree. I also have roots back in Arkansas. The Democrat Machine goes back to Faubus, and further. And, dead Arkansan Democrats have a long tradition of rising from their graves to go vote....
Any Republican needs at least a 5% lead to overcome the illegal aliens’ and dead people’s vote (who vote early and often for Democrats).
I don’t know who is running cotton’s campaign but they better start getting down and dirty like the Pryor campaign.
I hope Cotton can keep McCain campaigning to a minimum.
Tom Cotton should get his immigration mentor Steve King to campaign for him on farm issues, amnesty and pro-life issues instead.
Terri Lynn Land and Scott Brown for some reason thought it was a good idea to invite McCain to campaign with them.

“What an honor it was to have Senator John McCain come to Michigan and join me for a chat with Paul W this morning on the radio.”
