With the Obama White House left reeling from the "savage" slaughter of an American journalist held hostage by ISIS terrorists, military options are being considered against an adversary who officials say is growing in strength and is much more capable than the one faced when the group was called "al Qaeda-Iraq" during the U.S. war from 2003-2011.
ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has been making a "tactical withdrawal" in recent days in the face of withering U.S. airstrikes.
"These guys aren't just bugging out, they're tactically withdrawing. Very professional, well trained, motivated and equipped. They operate like a state with a military," said one official who tracks ISIS closely. "These aren't the same guys we fought in OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) who would just scatter when you dropped a bomb near them."
ISIS appeared to have a sophisticated and well thought-out plan for establishing its "Islamic Caliphate" from northern Syria across the western and northern deserts of Iraq, many experts and officials have said, and support from hostage-taking, robbery and sympathetic donations to fund it.
“They’re beyond just a terrorist group. They marry ideology, a sophistication of strategic and tactical military prowess. They are tremendously well-funded,” he said. “This is beyond anything that we’ve seen.”

Obama announced ISIS was “just JV” for the sole purpose of allowing them to grow, unchecked. Scary times, folks. Notice how our military sounds as if they are PROMOTING ISIS, not warning them? Are we being set up by our own gubmint?

The question isn’t who is funding them now because in the here and now they have taken territory, oil fields, food supplies and raided banks. There provide vast ongoing sources of funds.
The real question, and one the media should be diving into in great depth is who or what funded them INITIALLY. Remember when they came seemingly out of thin air? Rampaging like a blitzkrieg from the Syrian border regions into Iraq?
One day, there was nothing. The next, POOF! Here is this well trained fighting force of THOUSANDS with good weapons and battle hardened soldiers with a command structure.
I’ve heard a lot of theories, but what is the TRUTH about where they came from?

I am going to be VERY angry at people I know voted for O...if/when we get attacked again....don’t want to say “I told you so”....but, it could be something worse...(course I don’t much speak/chat with them anyhoo)
What worries me most about these types is if they are here, we can’t identify them until they do something. Its not like they wear a uniform. How then does a citizen fight this enemy without also having to fight our own government who declares them criminals guilty of workplace violence or some such nonsense and offering them the protection of the legal system. Political correctness won’t allow interment camps to sort out the bad ones. What then do we do? Wait for them to blow up a building or shoot up a mall and then arrest them? When is it open season on the enemy? Never, is my guess.
