A new national poll has found that a majority (51%) of Americans aged 18-24 feel that everyone who participates in a sport should get a trophy.

Which proves the hypothesis that the majority of 18-24 year olds are consummate losers.
Cultural Marxism.
Rap and sports stars get trophy ho’s, shouldn’t we all?
ANNND? Even young girls deserve to hit the lottery. BTW, NOT GUILTY. ( Nice nips).
“America is all about winning, not equality.”
You’re giving away your age. At least your memory is still good.
Brainwashed children who one day may be in leadership, somewhere. May GOD have mercy on this once great nation.
The two years I played Little League Baseball I too got a trophy every year - my team jersey.
It set me apart from other kids who didn’t play.
What position did I hold? Well outfielder the first year and primarily the bench the second year (we had a full team roster that year).
Kept my “trophies” safe and clean until I left for college.
Well, for one thing, I'm not rich.
Dammit anyway.
(Tall drink of milkshake, ain't she? And yes the little spigots are to die for...)
——There are trophies and there are trophies. A first place trophy isnt the same as one for participation. Much ado about nothing.——
Horse manure...
A trophy is supposed to mean something....you win the right to get it. It proclaims you bested your competetion....
It was worth striving for...
The country is filled young people who think showing up for work five days in a row is a accomplishment. ..
Yeah, my participant trophies (from the early 1980s, mind you), all went in the trash. We knew what "Participant" meant, and we didn't want them, we wanted to win. My more important ones are around somewhere, probably in a box at my parents' house, cuz I sure can't find 'em.
I’ll bet that everyone who said all kids should get a trophy are ones that never got a trophy. OTH I never got one for anything and I don’t think that. 98% of all the good or bad in my life are direct results of my actions and inaction. The only thing that has ever helped tip things to more good and less bad was to become even more clear on that point.
I wish I was a rich foolish swine! ;^)
Teaching kids that everybody is equal so everybody who plays in the game is a winner and deserving of a trophy is unnatural. One only needs to observe the animal kingdom to see the reality of life. This utopian mindset is brainless because it teaches kids, even as they grow to adults that they deserve something from the rest of us so they learn there is no need to try. Losing at something should be an avenue to encourage one to try harder and not give up as this “everybody deserves a trophy” crap will certainly do. Our educators need to get back to teaching reality because in reality there is no utopia. Life can be a bitch.
Trying to console myself by claiming two of three.
LOL- post of the day....and I really needed a good laugh
well my 24 and 25 year olds asked why the parents did such a dumb thing when they were young. They said, “mom we got what you all were doing!”
Trophies are traditionally awarded for special achievements. Participation can be honored with a t-shirt or such.
