ELMENDORF, Texas -- Elmendorf chief of police Michael Pimentel died Saturday as a result of gunshot wounds he suffered in the far southeast part of Bexar County.
A witness told KENS 5 she saw Pimentel go down in the middle of the street after being shot by a young resident of the small city. The woman, named Jennifer, said the pair got into some sort of altercation before three shots were fired.

I was born in rural Texas, I live there now-my neighbors are all Texans and Americans-ethnicity and color do not enter into that at all-anyone who is into that stuff does not belong here. Liberals out here are few, far between, and always Anglos who came from some other state, or a city-they don’t usually stay more than a few years, thankfully...
Unlikely, with a front name of Joshua.
‘They do whenever its a white male; all other colors are exempt from disclosure”
Don’t make it right. I will not play the game.
Very astute and illuminating. Not enough facts to make a comment either.
His first name, Joshua, he could be a long time Tejano... Or not. I can’t find that info.
If he is still wet behind the back? I agree.
I am sure that he killed the Chief with a legally acquired gun then.
Texas never did really recover from the Battle of the Alamo!
Even with the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, which ended the Mexican War.
Curse you, Santa Ana! And Speedy Gonzoles, too!
what a sad statistic.
RIP Chief Michael Pimentel
Sad. Prayers up for the Chief and his family!
For illegals sanctuary out in the country is hard to find...”
Went to Bandera a couple of weeks ago on vacation. We love going there, have done so several times and even talked about moving there. But I was amazed at all the huge Mexican families where we stayed, none of whom were speaking English. Neither of the two women cleaning our room spoke a word of English. I can stay in suburban Houston and experience the same thing so guess we’ll just stay home after this and save our money.
The mental hospitals are all going away and the mentally ill are being sent to prison, where they get worse.
My first inclination was correct.
***Texas never did really recover from the Battle of the Alamo!***
Recaptured by Adrian Woll in 1842.
They closed most here in NY back 30 or more years ago. I worked as an attendant in one as an 18 year old kid, at night, while going to college days. There were people there who should never be out back on the street. But belief in the wonders of new medication and liberal judges put them out on the streets
Un-escorted child immigrant?
To all you cop haters out there, this is why cops have to be the way they are
What "way" is that?
Hmmmmm...both links work for me.
what a sad statistic.
