ELMENDORF, Texas -- Elmendorf chief of police Michael Pimentel died Saturday as a result of gunshot wounds he suffered in the far southeast part of Bexar County.
A witness told KENS 5 she saw Pimentel go down in the middle of the street after being shot by a young resident of the small city. The woman, named Jennifer, said the pair got into some sort of altercation before three shots were fired.

That is absolutely awful to hear-I guess small towns are going off the rails now, too. And I’ve never seen any Michael Browns in Elmendorf-a friend who now lives out here used to live in Elmendorf, and it appeared to be a wide place in the road populated pretty much by Caucasians of Hispanic and/or Anglo ancestry.

Elmendorf isn’t a sanctuary city, and it isn’t a ‘burb of SA-it is an incorporated township some miles to the south and east of SA.
So once again someone with a history of mental illness will be the cause of trying to ban guns. I remember when violent mental cases were kept in hospitals.
That kind of thing doesn’t happen often in rural areas around here, probably because no one who is a Native Texan of any ethnicity-and not a liberal-likes illegals, mojados or whatever you want to call them. For illegals “sanctuary” out in the country is hard to find...

I got the sense that rural Texas we indeed still America...whereas so much urban and suburban America refuses to behave as what I recognize as Americans.
To all you cop haters out there, this is why cops have to be the way they are. You never know who, what, or when this will go down.

Absolutely horrible..prayers for the family..there was also an officer shot yesterday in San Bernardino, CA by a criminal thug, he is not expected to survive..
