Good afternoon/evening/night Troops, wherever you are.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.
Coffee is always on........

A very pleasant good Saturday morning to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
Welcome, everyone to this weekend's edition of the Canteen Music Dedication. The music in this thread is provided for the enjoyment of the troops and their families.
Please support the artists in this thread. Buy their music and attend their concerts when they come to your area. Our thanks go out to the Canteen DJ's for all their hard work in posting the music to today's thread.

Rowr thankya for ending my shift with me on a high note, m’FRiend. :o) Tho I’m none too sure about calling you early as usual, seeing how late you toddled off to bed. I gotta make a couple of stops on the way home anyhow.
*waves to Kathy, E.G.C. & anyone else keeping hours on this early Saturday morning*

No rehearsal today, as half the band is out of town.
It will be just me and the drummer tomorrow, but that’s OK.

Good morning to everyone at the Canteen. 74º and humid again. Heading for 100 later. I am sick of the heat this summer and no rain in sight.

Yep! (((hugs)))
And yet, I have friends from up north who haven’t even had a summer. There should be a happy medium! LOL!

We are approaching the 238th anniversary of the Battle for Long Island. My first cousin 6 times removed was killed on August 27, 1776 in the battle. Lots of people have given their lives in what they believed in. We the living salute the dead for their sacrifice.
