Good. He was very unprofessional and not trustworthy dealing with other humans. Just a bully with a badge.
I wouldn’t mind being suspended with the way things are going there.
Sure look that way in the video. Of course, you don’t see what the people in the crowd might have been doing to provoke him. Even so, he should have kept his cool.
Yeah, if someone has that kind of a hairtrigger temper he really needs to find another line of work.
I readily admit that I would make an absolutely terrible cop.
I’m glad they suspended him, but I’m only surprised it doesn’t happen more often because of the pressure these guys are under. Do you know what it’s like to just stand there doing your job and have these people scram all sorts of hatred and filth at you? Not to mention threats to you and your family.
I think there’s a lot of superhuman self-control going on there. Not mentioned is what the “peaceful protester” said to the cop first.
I would ask first...how many nights has he worked the protests? Burn-out could be a huge factor.
Yes, he should have been removed/suspended. But I’d also question the mental state of officers repeatedly put essentially in the line of fire.
Again, this is where the cops separate from the National Guard. For the safety and mental health of all involved the NG should have been put on the line.
I agree, we accept the good reason for Brown no longer being around, but there is no reason to have officers with guns causing problems or actually hurting people for no good reason either.
