It turns out that there are some good reasons why the former Governor and GOP Presidential nominee is allowing his name to be circulated as a potential candidate in 2016. Some of those good reasons can be found in a new poll by Zogby Analytics showing him outpolling his nearest rivals for the nomination by about two to one. The poll of 315 likely Republican primary voters was conducted online on August 13-15 and has a margin of sampling error of +/-5.6 percentage points.
Romney places first in the 2016 race for the nomination with 20%, followed by New jersey Governor Chris Christie 12%, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul 11%, Texas Senator Ted Cruz 9%, former Arkansas Governor and Fox News host Mike Huckabee 8%, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush 6%, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker 4%, Florida Senator Marco Rubio 4%, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindahl 3%, New Mexico Governor Suzanna Martinez 1%, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley 1%, Ohio Governor John Kasich .3%, and Ohio Senator Rob Portman at 0. Three percent selected the Other Candidate category and 17% were not sure.

Please Mitt, No. Focus on picking up senate seats.
IMHO, Romney needs to prove he will FIGHT for America.
If he FIGHTS to deliver larger conservative majorities in the House and Senate in 2014 , I might take a second look at him for 2016.
But if he still thinks that softly-spoken, well-balanced weasel-words are all that America’s dangerous new situation requires, someone else will get my vote.
He only fights against other Republicans.
So the Democrats will have a nominee on both tickets for three Presidential election cycles in a row?
OMG. That thought just ruined my day.
Actually Romney’s son said his Pa didn’t want the job. Romney’s affect displayed a lackluster candidate. Failed to take on Obama. Seemed bored to me the entire campaign. I voted for him in the end, simply because Obi was, and still is, and utter horror as a President. But Romney needs to sit this one out...
Headline could also have read:
“Romney rejected by four out of five GOP voters in new poll”
But it didn’t. Gee, I wonder why.
excellent
The general elections happen in November. The GOP incumbents aren't guaranteed a win in November.
Winning a primary doesn't mean anything if they can't win the General.

Not this crap again. We need a new face with new ideas, not an establishment designated retread.
Fool me once...
A rino will never get my vote again. Twice is two times too many.
Looks to me as if they are setting up the GOP for another loss. Our country needs someone strong who will be respected, we can’t afford to continue the way we are. The proposed candidates the Dems have lined up are strictly social issue minded, they’re too week to handle a turbulent world and the problems it will bring to America. So America, if you want wussy leadership, you will deserve what you get.
