Attorney General Eric Holder vowed to use Michael Brown's death and the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, to push for more police diversity and even combat unintentional "disparate treatment under the law" of minorities.
[Snip]
"Enforcement priorities and arrest patterns must not lead to disparate treatment under the law, even if such treatment is unintended," he said. "And police forces should reflect the diversity of the communities they serve."

"Constructive dialogue should continue but it must also be converted into concrete action. And it is painfully clear, in cities and circumstances across our great nation, that more progress, more dialogue, and more action is needed," he wrote.

He also said that the "Justice Department will defend the right of protesters to peacefully demonstrate and for the media to cover a story that must be told."

They do if the local cops and municipalities are sucking the federal teat. The locals will obey too, for fear of not getting any goodies.
“Eric Holder: Michael Brown Death Cause for ‘Robust Action’ to Increase Police Diversity”...
Does that ass hat think that by dumbing down the police force it will really help? Does he expect the “New Black Police” to allow more thugs like dead Mike Brown to get away with breaking the laws? GOOD police, black or otherwise are not going to allow militant and lawless blacks to tarnish what the police are there to preserve. Does Holder expect the New Black Police will look the other way? Probably.
You didn’t think all that military equipment given to the police was for “law enforcement” did you?
Our dept. wanted more blacks on the police department so they initiated a State-wide recruiting campaign.
How many blacks did they get out of it? 0. Zip. Zilch. Nada. NONE. We have several black officers on the department, I’ve heard them called “Uncle Tom’s,” ‘sell-outs,’ and “house nigga’s” by other blacks.
And now the standards for becoming a LEO will take another dive to the depths.
The “unfairness” of such action is felt most harshly by the minority officers who have qualified on equal footing.
Hello Eric! We have quite a few Indians living where I’m at but none on the police dept. HEEELLLLLLP!!!!
Ugh.
A sure path to corrupt, broke, and bankrupt. Just like happened in Detoilet.
Then you wind up with a 95% black population, 55% illiteracy, 60% poverty, 70% that pay no taxes, and 75% out of wedlock births.
There is no ‘fix’ for such a city, it can’t be done. To correct things you would have to deport the residents.
If you haven’t noticed, the federal government has a say in everything.
From 2001:
As the debate rages over relations between African-Americans and Cincinnati police officers, many advocates suggest a way to bridge the divide:
Hire more black cops.
Twenty-eight percent of the 1,020 officers working in the Cincinnati Police Division are black, largely because of a 20-year-old federal court order that requires a third of all recruits be minorities.

Police Exams Put to The Test-Lawsuits, Debates Surround Efforts to Diversify Cops
Wednesday, October 28, 1998
Newsday
By now, it’s a familiar pattern.
The U.S. Justice Department swoops into a community and investigates the hiring practices of the local police force. The government finds evidence of discrimination and sues the community, charging violations of federal civil rights law.
Local police hiring usually stops because the test is in litigation. There are court battles that sometimes take years. And in the end, the local officials usually pledge to use a new test, one that is endorsed by the Justice Department. That scenario has been played out in more than 60 state and law enforcement jurisdictions nationally - including the Nassau and Suffolk police departments - as public employers struggle to find a way to diversify their police forces and comply with federal law. But now, the tests endorsed by the government to remedy the problem are themselves coming under increasing fire.
Some argue that test standards have been lowered significantly in an effort to hire more minorities. Others maintain the tests still discriminate against minorities. And after all the battling, Long Island’s police departments, like so many across the country, remain overwhelmingly white. In cities from Las Vegas to Torrance, Calif., the tests - which combine biographical questions with the traditional cognitive ones - are the subject of lawsuits and debates over whether they can really measure what makes a good cop. In Las Vegas, for example, police officials last year sought a new hiring test after a handful of officers who were hired off a test similar to Suffolk’s were later accused of criminal activity.

Eric Holder demands more affirmative action to get more black cops in Ferguson
Black police for black populace and a white President and a white Attorney General for white America. Sounds fair.
My only conclusion from watching these events, and the related new phenomennon of perpetual unemployment is this— Our problems with the permenant underclass will never end unless we have a real leader who completely dismantles all of FDR/Johnson’s socialist policies. No more government based welfare/section 8 housing etc. Force those unwilling/unequipped to flourish in a civil society to become productive members of society or perish.
“And now the standards for becoming a LEO will take another dive to the depths.”
We’ve seen this “need to diversify” show before.
1- Initial attempts to hire women and minorities fail because they cannot meet the established standards used for white men.
2- Standards must be lowered several times to get an adequate applicant pool.
3- Change approved procedures to match the physical or mental limitation of the new recruits.
4- The type of incidents which lead to diversity hiring still occur.
5- The left blames the lack of improvement on the lack of minorities in “leadership positions”.
6- Repeat steps 1 - 4.
Race doesn’t matter— Power does. In America-today we have elected our first black President and have excused his inept band even lawless behavior because he is black skinned. He has chosen to elevate Race because he has power. when Eric Holder who has been granted Power as our racist Attorney General speaks of Justice he understands it as Justice Just for Us blacks. Everything is filtered through Race. They have the Power and to them Race doesn’t matter they will use their power to advance their racist agenda.Obama has done more to harm race relations in the America he Hates than he has ever brought us together for the common good.
Uyghur, PLEASE!
Holder is saying, if a black cop would have been in Wilson’s position, none of this would have happened? Michael would not have attacked the cop? The cop would not have stopped Michael? Well, that is racist.
Your source is the enquirer. Hush.
good news perhaps
The request for diversity can be taken as defeat. There is no cry for justice. The evidence that the officer was completely in the right in the shooting is seen even by the head ******
Ferguson was a former white majority suburb of St. Louis. The demographics changed over two decades and now it is a black majority town. Should all of the police officers on the force retired when the census figures were posted?
More to the point, the local government still has numerous white elected officials because the black population appears to be too disinterested to vote in elections. Despite their majority status, the blacks only managed to deliver 6% of the total vote in local elections.
Only a racist would think this way. What a bunch of BS. A good cop is a good cop. No matter what color they are. Obey the law and there is not a problem, PERIOD.
