The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.
Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket. This comes from a source within the District Attorneys office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

For later reference.....
I’ve been on the “wait until the facts come in” side of this (and still am—it’s the lawyer in me, I guess), but if true, this is obviously a very good fact for Wilson. An injury to one eye would also seem to be consistent with the fact that all of the shots that hit Brown hit him on one side.
Add 20 more pounds to that. That guy was damn near 300 pounds. That’s a lot o beef. And that’s why it took so many shots to take him down. Plus he was on drugs.
If (since) Brown attacked the officer in the car, the officer had every right to pull his gun and command Brown to stop so that he could be arrested.
If (apparently since) Brown then charged the officer, the officer had every right to defend himself from further harm or death at the bare hands of Brown.
The initial reports that the media was spreading was that Zimmerman had no injuries to the back of his head.
That was my theory as well.
His first shots were aimed to injure, not kill...................
I have been remembering their names though. they will be back out to spout their lefty views when the next incident comes up
When this happened, was the officer apprehending Brown for the robbery?
Speaking of ‘coffin’, just wait until this thug’s funeral. I’m sure it will be a spectacle.
Have you shot a handgun much? Not attacking you, but I will bet not.
Agree he acted heroically and properly, but this shoot-to-wound stuff is not something anyone does: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3193963/posts?page=195#195
“To me, it looks loke he shot the guy in the arm.....thinking that would stop him......”
Let me think about this ....
I have eye injuries and a 300 pounder is charging me. I think I will shoot him in the arm...
Get real!
In addition to that, a white cop in a black hell-hole like Ferguson for six years, and no complaints on his record?
I think people have a tendency to have knee-jerk reactions and to stereotype other people when it suits their emotion on a subject.
I try to take things case by case. I agree that the police (in all realms) have become highly defensive and reactive.
It’s a really crappy world and society that they have to deal with. Remember when cops didn’t have to worry about getting shot every time they pulled someone over ?
Anyway, in this case, I followed the incident very closely and knew from the beginning what had happened. Sure I had some details wrong (due to misleading statements by the official press), but I think we all ended up arriving at the same conclusion (especially after everyone gets to read the subject of this thread).
Now, when will the public see this ? Or will it even get out ?
If we allow this cop to be tried for murder we are no better than a third world African country.
THE WHITE MAN LIES! RIOT EXTRA-HARD NOW!
I am certain Eric Holder tried to suppress the news of this cop’s injury too.
Gentle Giant? Well, I guess it’s half true.
Why don’t you share them then?
