RUSH: I was here at the tail end of show prep. I was near the end of the accumulation phase and just about to begin the organizational phase, which is around 11:15 every morning.
Snerdley comes in and says, "Are you sleeping well?"
I said, "Yeah, I always do."
"Well, I don't know how you're doing it."
I said, "What are you talking about?"
"Don't you know you're the one that got Gregory fired? You got David Gregory fired! How can you sleep well?"
"What do you mean, I got David Gregory fired?"
"You're the one who started talking about ratings. Up until you started talking about how they have no ratings and doesn't anybody care, they didn't care, and it was hunky-dory and everything was fine and dandy. Now look! Now you've got the CBS CEO out there talking about how they gotta get rid of the overnight ratings because you can't get an accurate picture now, gotta get ratings for a week. And now NBC gets rid of Gregory for no ratings? You're the only guy who ever pointed it out. You're the only guy who cares. Don't you feel guilty?"
I said, "I hadn't even thought of that."
Snerdley thinks that I should be feeling guilty. I read over the weekend, speaking of Gregory, the real reason he got fired. You know what it is, folks? He turned on Hamas. He became just too supportive of Israel, and this upset a lot of people in the executive suite at NBC. But I read this. I wish I could remember where I read it.
It was on some blog, and it was a learned analyst, and his theory here that that Gregory in recent weeks had become very, very, very, very supportive of Israel, and that that's why he was let go. Snerdley thinks it was me pointing out that he had no ratings, and it was okay that he had no ratings (chuckles) until I mentioned it and they had to deal with it. That's right? That's pretty much what you think?

That inaugural ball was one of the best times ever! People came from all over. Gov Huckabee and his band “Capitol Offense” played and we finally got tossed out about 3:00AM
Great times!!
People heard about the Free Republic Ball and came from other balls just to be there with us.
It was a night to be remembered.......
I journeyed from Virginia across the river only to get lost in all the scaffolding at the White House and to never locate the Freeper Stalwarts guarding the silver.
