Michael Brown was shot in the head and chest multiple times, according to Mary Case, the St. Louis County medical examiner.
While Case declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation into Browns death, another person familiar with the countys investigation told The Washington Post that Brown had between six and eight gunshot wounds and was shot from the front.
In addition, Brown had marijuana in his system when he was shot and killed by a police officer on Aug. 9 in Ferguson, according to this person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.
The report from Cases office was released to the St. Louis County prosecutors office on Friday night but has not been made public. This report is part of the countys official investigation into the shooting, but it is one of three autopsies being conducted.
Browns family and attorneys also requested its own autopsy, which was carried out by Michael Baden, a medical examiner who released preliminary details from his review on Monday.
In anticipation that Brown would be potentially vilified by the results of the drug test, conduct as a routine part of the autopsy, protesters have consistently insisted that Officer Wilson should be required to submit one as well.
What was in the system of that cop when he was pumping bullets into that boys body? asked a protest leader, shouting into a megaphone, during a rally on Friday afternoon.
Residents and protesters have noted that allegations of marijuana use have been used in the past by some in an attempt to disparage the character of shooting victims, including in the Trayvon Martin case.

Is a drug test of officers involved in fatal shootings part of the protocol?
Thank you.

This will be a major butt-hurt for the “all cops are jack-booted thugs” and the doper crowd here on FR. |
Nah....
They just go back in time to find their "cops are scum" stories....
I suppose it depends on the state where the suburb is located. Here in Louisiana suburbia more than likely contains more people who own firearms than suburbia in Washington State would have for example. Probably holds true for Kentucky as opposed to New York.

Chicago probably is better armed than its suburbs.
i know it is sometimes very hardto be a cop, but they are trained to take down criminals without using deadly force unless totally necessary. I do not know if it true that Brown was gunned down as he was trying to get away and a good distance...but if so, the cops should be prosecuted. Cops all over our nation take advantage of their “superior” position and bully people and even kill people..happens obviously if you have been awake and following the news. Their was an entire group of Fullerton cops caught on video literally beating to death Kelly Thomas, a skinny homeless man in Fullerton, Ca. It was pure murder and not one of those cops stopped it. No excuse!
Michael Brown rushed officer, radio caller says As reported by CNN.
While it is true that police officers are trained to resolve incidents peaceably and without the use of force, it is not always possible to do so. While I would agree that the homeless man was probably excessive use of force, seeing video that is shot does not necessarily mean we are getting the entire story of what transpired. It is also true that a percentage of police officers are bad cops who commit robberies, rapes, and even murder. Also true is that civilians are also committing violent crimes, and often times against police officers. The majority of police officers would and do avoid using force and especially deadly force as they may find themselves being prosecuted even when justified in using force and deadly force.
If you think you can do a better job than by all means become a police officer. It may significantly change your view of them and what they are faced with.
——Huh? So being high or drunk absolves you of any consequences from your actions?-——

White is not a color.....
"Some people partially hollow out a cigar and fill it with weed. They may feel they can smoke this cigar in public and not be detected. A marijuana-tobacco cigar is called a 'blunt,' said to be because Phillies Blunt cigars were originally used. Swisher Sweets brand of small cigars are often used to make blunts, along with Garcia y Vega and White Owl cigars. This practice may have started being popular among the rap music crowd but it has spread much farther today."
