Autopsy results enough to charge officer, Brown family attorney says

Ferguson, Missouri (CNN) -- An independent autopsy into the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, provides "ample" evidence to support the arrest of the police officer who shot him, family attorney Daryl Parks said Monday at a news conference.

Parks was particularly concerned about gunshots that medical examiners hired by the family indicate came from behind and above.

"Why would he be shot in the very top of his head, a 6-foot-4 man?" Parks asked. "Makes no sense."

The autopsy could support witnesses' suggestions that Brown was holding his hands up in the air, said Shawn Purcell, who assisted in the autopsy. But other scenarios are possible, said Dr. Michael Baden, who supervised the inquiry.

I have seen no reference to the condition of the inside of the police car, which I think is crucial to the case. If there is indeed evidence of a bullet striking the interior of the car, that would go a long way to support Wilson's claim that Brown attacked him and that Wilson was acting in self-defense to subdue a violent criminal. But it would not surprise me if the media suppressed that evidence for the very reason that it would be a huge boost to the officer's defense.

That seems to be corroborated by the conservativetreehouse video where an off camera person says Brown “bum-rushed” the cop. If toxicology shows that Brown was drug-crazed...

That article says the Dept of Injustice is going to have somebody from the military do the requested 3rd autopsy.

Provides an opportunity for undue command influence that way...

I’d say it’s a pretty big discrepancy if this other autopsy says he had multiple bullets to the chest, when the family’s autopsy had only wounds to the arm and head. This doesn’t make sense.

It suggests that Brown was charging Wilson in a head down position to protect his body mass and so he could knock him down like a person making a tackle. That would make his head lower so the shot would go into it rather into his center. At least that is what I surmise.

Yep It does seem that way. Cop was left of center mass when he fired the first shot. Recoil allowed for the rise of the bullet path as he continued to pull the trigger.

Saint Michael was falling after wound to chest. Hence wound in top of head.
