By DANIEL BATES 16 August 2014 A couple hundred defiant protesters remained on the streets of Ferguson after a midnight curfew took effect Saturday night after as a first photo emerged showing the officer who gunned down unarmed black teen Michael Brown. Hundreds of other demonstrators left peacefully before the midnight to 5am deadline took effect Sunday morning.
Remaining protesters mingled, chanted the words, 'no justice, no curfew,' and taunted police. Officers dressed in riot gear were keeping their distance.

I have no doubt that the crooks and otherwise non law abiding folks are out in force. The problem here is that just how suppressive do the police respond!
For me, they have to protect the businesses and they have been negligent in doing that. That and protection of individuals should be their priority.
Forget about black complaints and do your job!

If law enforcement won’t protect the businesses, the business owners have the choice of defending their businesses themselves and risk death and/or prosecution, or walking away and suffering the loss.
The longer the police take no action, the more destruction accrues to the credit of the Governor, Obama, and his little dog Holder.
No, that is not fair to most of the law abiding folks that live there... You are letting your bias get the best of you. I would almost guarantee that most of the folks there are not only law-abiding but good and decent folks.
These are the ones that are protecting their properties (with gun) as necessary against these roving gangs of thugs.
Please don’t try to collate these folks into a common group. That is just not fair!

Obama and Holder just might finally get their nationwide race riots this summer. The Martin / Zimmerman case was a poor choice for the grievance industry, and the trial didn’t pan out last June the way they had hoped.
Yeah, that tends to happen these days...especially when it is the minorities that are rebelling. Actually, that does seem to be way too common these days. You’d think that they did not have the freedom of choice...and yes, they do!!

Actually, I can almost agree! Seems that the blacks seem to always riot when they can just so they can rip off businesses and get free things... Funny, you don’t see the Mexicans or Asians do this...Why is that? What the heck is wrong with Blacks?
Maybe it is just a sign of the times - ie., minorities just want things that they don’t have to work for...but why is it only the Blacks?
I don’t know. But it’s to the point that I don’t want to analyze and understand in order to solve for it. My mindset has changed in the last 10 years. Maybe it’s that my eyes were finally opened.
I just don’t have the patience to give one more brain cell or drop of blood to a group of people who refuse and ridicule to the point of harm any person that wants to help them. It appears they help themselves when they can take or steal it.
We are 3-4 generations out from the 60s. I remember those days. People are right. The ‘community’ has declined. All the while, people have come here from other countries and continents and have pulled themselves up into success. That Blacks alone appear to toss away advantage after advantage and laugh all the while is not worthy of my interest or time anymore.
My world is growing smaller, but I just don’t want to extend myself for others who would be just as happy to cut me to ribbons.

Good question to ask them, and you'll get several different answers based on their class in society. I've observed that there are big distinctions between ghetto blacks, and those who have integrated into society as regular citizens. Ghetto people call the regular types "Uncle Toms" or "Oreos". Lots of black Americans are just like us, hardworking and decent. But of many in the ghettos, they are simply not like us. I've had some smart blacks from the ghetto work for me. Highly intelligent, but bad grammar and quick to get angry at certain provocations. They managed to extricate themselves from the ghetto but the peer pressure and lack of good role models there damaged them. So don't paint all blacks the same way, just the hardcore ghetto types are the ones to be wary of. As for Mexicans and others, they can blend into society more easily, I guess. Just guessing.
mexicans do it all the time too, less rioting though, except for LA which had a lot of mexican rioting. mexicans rape, murder and steal a lot in this country.
You might be surprised that even those blacks that “integrate” society seem to have some common traits. I worked with several blacks in programming who seem absolutely normal - speech and actions, with normal Americans but when they were with their own, they reverted to black language (not sure what it was, but maybe street language) and would stop immediately when a white fellow entered the room. Strange to me and had no idea that they would actually do that. Yes, I was actually shocked!
So while I understand what you are saying, I will say that although they may act normal (or white as you might say), they also reverted to their culture when only blacks were around. I thought it strange!
Well, Mexicans have their own country in California so they should be a bit different I guess...:^)
