Ek a scuse a me! Who will pay for this? And is this not against the law? Ek a scuse a me—since when have the RATS ever let the truth get in the way of their agenda? Ek a scuse a me!!!

So the totally democrat city wants to use money to incentivize voters to vote for more democrats why? That is so stupid it’s funny.

Or how about free beer or booze in exchange for a vote?

I have a better idea. How about a tax credit coupon handed out with every ballot?

Sick, sick bass turds. Give away more freebies to get the freeloaders to vote. No wonder our government is so !@#$%! up and out of control. Handing out freebies is not the way the government is supposed to work! Damn communists!

This is beyond stupid. A prize will not motivate lazy people to study the issues, only to go into the booth and vote ignorantly. It’s bad enough as it is!

LA's Ethics Commission votes to urge the City Council to look at using cash prizes to get more people to vote. Ethics? WE dont need no stinking ethics.
How is this plan ethical?
If people dont care enough about their government to vote without incentives like prizes perhaps they shouldnt be voting anyway.
I have always been of the opinion that you shouldnt have to pay people to do the right thing. But maybe that is why I am a conservative and these people are Liberals.

Undermines the essence of American democracy and I think could be found to be un-Constitutional with a little study.

Illegal is this not? Electioneering even by government bribe is still a crime.

I can imagine what would be said if a Republican made that proposal...

Now there’s a unique answer to voter apathy, come out up front and just buy votes - votes to the highest bidder. There’s DeToqueville’s description of the ruin of Democracy.

Uhmmmm....
That is illegal...
